Quite a few months have passed after I signed up, although, I don't see much progress or updates. It's still stuck at 15% in stage 1. I hope one day it does launch and ends up sending all the tokens, which I do doubt.

I don´t think it´s actually a scam, because nobody lost money, right?
Just a bunch of empty promises, but no real assets lost in the way..
When is too good to be true.....

I noticed that several of the earlier threads on this topic are deleted. Which is understandable if it's a scam, but also ensures that nobody has access to any information.
In short, there is a website (Coinstarter.com, please don't post your referral links in this thread) that claims to give everyone who signs up ~$200 worth in tokens.

However, since all threads are deleted there is really not that much information to be found. My thoughts are the following:

1. It's real - Unlikely, since you can create thousands of fake accounts and it would cost them millions
2. The website has a virus - Virustotal shows a clean website, but I'm a bit worried about this since I did visit it
3. It's a scam - They'll use the registered email addresses/passwords and try it out on all exchanges
4. It's a misunderstanding/dillusion - You'll get Coinstarter tokens worth $200 based on the ICO price. In practice, they might be worth $0.001 on exchanges.

Curious to get your thoughts and whether I should be worried for visiting the website!
Obvious scam is obvious. Not gonna lose sleep ovet it.
They didnt even ask to verify the email, which makes the free coin distribution go in the obvious loophole.

I don't know what to think of this site. It obviously is still alive on the web but apparently nothing is really happening one way or the other. It doesn't seem to be actively promoted but it seems, if it is to be believed, that a lot of people signed up. I don't. Seems odd.

they launched a project management platform (though basic) with a free trial, and they charge 2 of whatever token they created, you can transfer your tokens to that platform and subscribe, but no way of transferring out of the platform your tokens so they´re worthless outside of that environment

Does anyone know someone who has actually invested capital in any way shape or form or who has done something other than registering and/or referring others?

A fool and his money are soon parted.  Investing dollars into unknown crypto seems a bit foolish.  But investing in dollars seem foolish also-but i know which one is more liquid and in more demand, and which one uncle Sam wants to be paid in.

If it is a legitimate company, those half coins a day keeps some users logged into it which could be construed as the cost of advertizing. Which for now is free.  but it comes at the expense of dilution. investors have quite a bit to gripe about if it dilutes too much.  if they ever do something, great.  If not, well it only hurts the investors.

its definitely a scam the site is not even secure. They say that they will give you free coins in signing up . the're trying to lure you for joining there site with free coin. But if you still want to join its up to you. For me its just a waste of a time.

In my opinion there is always the opportunity to wait for the development of the current situation. Just keeping an eye on the situation. If there is no confidence then we will not buy a coin. We earn on referrals and look forward to entering the stock exchange.
