The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

It is definitely possible.

It is usually not especially profitable, if at all. This depends on what CPU, what coin, power costs, etc. At current rates, expect <$1/day, even for a high-end CPU.

There's several threads in this subforum on the best CPU coins to mine right now, but I still wouldn't recommend it if your goal is to make money at a reasonable rate.

Yes, xmr on Core processors, if you wish to try playing around or for learning purposes. Do not expect you will get any hard money out of it.
