So you would mine a coin from a developer who cant compile for windows or mine his own genesis block? I dont mean to throw salt on the wound but.  Shocked REALLY?!

Either way, the reward is one block now but when the difficulty goes up, the reward increases.

Btw. just a post. someone said "6000 premine NO!' there was no premine. We helped the owner of elacoin last night mine the Genesis block. which he updated on the github and we all started mining at the same time.

Let's recap: Time of post for unofficial Windows mining release: 10:08. At 10:26 a windows miner got it running and reported that it was up to 6,000 block.

Well, hell, if that isn't a premine I don't know what is!

Who is "we all"? Clearly a bunch of non-windows users?

If new coins continue to be released in this manner, you won't have any support for the coins you generated. The last three coins released are in the micro range with no buyers - know why? A release that favored a specific group.

A buy/sell doc is quickly released and we watch it go from .0005 to .05 and then it plummets back down again. Look at the historic charts of feathercoin and yacoin.

Please join those of us who want a supported coin and a start time that is reasonable, with files available for different OS at launch. 7 a.m. GMT +1 is 2 a.m. my time. I realize the OP may not be able to create the windows files, but he can ask for some support with bountys prior to the launch so that everything is ready. I know many of us would support a bounty.

First of all download the file : ( at own risk uploaded by a other user - Petr1fied )

UNOFFICIAL Windows Client by Petr1fied:
https://apps.memopal.com/e/H3GPKRT7
This is unofficial! Run it in a VM or with Sandboxie!

1- Start the elacoind.exe

It will open en disapear right away. ( This is suppose to happen )

2- If you did this you go to  : C:\Users\YOURACCNAME\AppData\Roaming\Elacoin

You create a elacoin.conf with the following info :

rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9222
port=9223
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0
addnode=199.204.38.220
addnode=205.209.38.220
addnode=98.202.80.237
addnode=81.3.189.156
addnode=130.79.100.90.

3- After you done this save and close the elacion.conf.

4- Now you start the elacoind.exe file again the window will stay open.

5- Now you have to wait till it synced currently over 6000 blocks. To see that status of your current block go to start and open CMD. In commandprompt you navigate to the folder where you elacoind.exe and type elacoind.exe getinfo. ( You should see the blocks getting updated everytime you retype the command elacoind.exe getinfo )

Now you can go to you miner and connect to: 127.0.0.1:92222 and farm some coins.

* to see if you got any block found type in cmd elacoind.exe getbalance

Donations are welcome elacoin :EY1QKmNQhT8yNchp1PQMkz4suq4Lk4ysZ6

Could you post the basic commands like how to get an adress how to see your total and how to send coins?

To display the initial address:
Code:
elacoind getaccountaddress 0

To see your cleared balance:
Code:
elacoind getbalance

To see all your orphans (and maybe some immature blocks if you're lucky):
Code:
elacoind listtransactions

NOTE: It may be better outputting the above to a text file like this:
Code:
elacoind listtransactions > transactions.txt

Then open the text file to view all those orphans. Wink

To send coins to a single address:
Code:
elacoind sendtoaddress AddressHere AmountHere

For anything else just type elacoind help and give the commands a try. You'll figure it out.
