It's Bitcoin that we are talking about - if the price starts heading down, people will forget about their positive thoughts and views on the market, and will likely start dumping their coins. Exactly at that time people started to speculate about the market going down to below $1500 again, and even close to the $1000 level. After a while, the price jumps back up, and people instantly let their negativity make place for positivity, and they think we're heading towards $3000-$4000 again. In one full month, just $500 rally. No. You ate missing something. If prices manages to stay above $3000 levels after Aug 1 then we can see crack works as faith on bitcoin will be restored so that new investors may take prices into new peaks too.

I know that this is crypto and "expect the unexpected" is kinda main theme in our line of work, but seriously, $3000 before August 1 is a rather unrealistic scenario.
Definitely not with all recent problems - mainly BTC-e collapse being the hot topic now.
But honestly I expected greater panic and harder market drop because of that - I don't know why people are so calm about this exchange being gone.

Also right now on CMC it's one of the first times I've seen all the alts SO all over the board on the charts - aka NOT following the current BTC run.

Many are still uncertain for August 1st and still waiting for further announcement from the experts in here. Some are still preparing for whatever happens. Add the fact that we are in a bear market since the last week of May so I consider your speculation with low possibility.

You have some point that its true and we are still in watching mode where we can sell our bitcoin if there is a suspicious movement of the price right now.. there is no guarantee this coming august 1 but i believe that after that we will see a large movement of the price hoping that people thinking about the situation right now will get back to use bitcoin after august that i think it can push the price more high soon..

Really hoping for that "large movement of the price " in Btc. But I saw prediction always fails. Everyone predicted that the coin value will fall around 1700$ before Aug1. Though we saw a down trending but that didn't last long. And the value bounced back to 2700$ again.

So don't know what is beyond the time. But as all expecting I also expecting that also. Hope for a good rise in price.

There's no effect even at all so I guess the whales got the most control in the economy. And as everyone is expecting that price will reach $3,000 soon it's very possible to happen after August 1. Two days from now and we'll be on August 1 as the price is at $2,744, it may happen and it may not but we'll see $3k.

This seems to be hard to realize, when the price reaches $ 2800 then many users who immediately sell so the price down again, I think the thing that makes this is hard fork.

Seems to be seen from what happens with the bitcoin price groove, before 1 August it will not reach above $ 3000, just approaching it. This is actually the first time that I also see bitcoin going up and all others coins going  down at a very high velocity! All the altcoins are in red right now  on http://coinmarketcap. Com. Bitcoin touching $3000 is in sight and hope this hardfork issue will not affect bitcoin much as splitting at this moment may bring bitcoin down.

As the price increase has increased, an increase in selling order is found more than the past days. This could probably cause a price drop than the price increase. It would be good if the price increases above $3000 before August.

I don't think Bitcoin would reach $3000 before 1st August. It will keep on hovering over $2800 like before. There is some uncertainty still left which would limit the buying activity on and before Aug 1st. For safety, people wouldn't be buying much in these 3 days. Therefore, price isn't going to climb much. But after 1st August, it would definitely reach $3k in a week or two.

I think that during the first two weeks, the price will soar to $ 3,500. Maybe even above. Now create a vacuum and it will make itself felt after all the controversy over the separation of bitcoin will settle down. People will seek to take back and create a high demand.

It is very rare to see bitcoin price pumping up while most of the altcoin are dumping so hard.

People are probably selling their altcoins to buy bitcoins and have bitcoin cash on August 1st, of course this is my guess


I do not think it would be possible for bitcoin to reach $3000 before August 1st, even after August 1st, i find it very difficult for bitcoin to reach $3000. I see many analysts making price forecasts, some analysts believe bitcoin will reach  $5000 Still in that year, and someone had dared to say that in 3 years bitcoin will be worth $500.000.
