If you want to make sure that your bitcoin will be safe then go for offline wallet like bitcoin core. I am not saying that blockchain.io is not safe but storing your bitcoin to a wallet that you hold the private key is more safe.

Blockchain wallet is definitely safe as long as you are aware of something wrong. And regarding hard fork on August 1st, there's nothing to worry as all you have to do is doing nothing during that day, do not send or receive payment in bitcoin form, just use other coins or cash. But, there are some features of blockchain wallet which is detrimental for bitcoiners such as they've set high fees to send bitcoin and it doesn't support or hard to export private keys. You may try https://github.com/OmniLayer/omniwallet/wiki/Exporting-Private-Key-from-Blockchain.info-and-Importing-to-Omniwallet.org

I use blockchain.info wallet exclusively on my iPhone, not my computer. How safe is it then?
Block chain wallet I think is the safest web wallet I know. As far as I know, there are no news or articles or reports that the block chain wallet is being hacked or robbed. So we can say that wallet from blockchain is secure and dependable. You are right, It's too safe wallet as i know. but many people here are prefer to send all their bitcoin to an Electrum wallet, which they said that it's more secure. But personally, I didn't think that will be problems in 1 aug in blockchain wallet. I hope that this date pass without any problems concerned bitcoin wallets. In terms of the fork in August 1, blockchain.info did not support the fork so itnis better to send our bitcoins in other wallets like sir theymos suggested. There are wallets that suggested by sir Theymos that is Ok and is safe to store your coins, though, it is too late to send it there now because the forking is now close.

You can move it to a private BTC wallet where you control the private keys. Or if you like to get BCC, you can move it to any good exchange that has signalled support for it.. GOOD LUCK

Any wallet where you have private key control is ok in every situations. Online wallet and exchanges wallet are risky at all situation, not only in Fork. These websites are owned by companies that are making choices on them and it is their choices to make. But some of you get kind of crazy in ways that are designed to take advantage of situations and the finances of these various coins. Some of them have done things like stop allowing people to withdraw coins on a specific coin when they felt the value is going to start going down.

You have a Desktop Wallet then what's the use of it if still you will stored your bitcoin in blockchain webwallet. You primarily hold your private keys there but can we think of a way to minimize the risk? No questions asked, you already have what you need. Transfer your bitcoin to that desktop wallet, save your keys and you will be fine.

Blockchain.info finally made an announcement. Looks like if you want to keep both coins, you better move funds off that wallet: https://blog.[Suspicious link removed]/2017/07/30/bitcoin-cash-bcc-hard-fork-means-blockchain-wallet-users/

Your balance would still be there during and after the fork. However, just to be safe it's better to import your private keys into another wallet which you have full control with. Blockchain.info is notorious to have too many bugs. Might wanna save yourself from days of depression when the fork happens.
Really? If you don't mind me asking, what kind of bugs does their wallet have? I have some Bitcoin on there, but you scared me now. Has it ever been hacked?

Bitcoin may split after the fork. So its better to transfer all your bitcoins to a exchange where they can provide BCC. Perhaps you will get the equal share of BCC you have in BTC. Blockchain.info might not be safe during the fork so its better you move your coins on a hardware wallet or paper wallet.

"Bitcoin may split?" Fork is like another term for split as the word fork suggests. As sir Theymos posted here in the forum, we must really take care of our bitcoins because it may dissapear when we still transact in the day of the fork. So, to be more safe, you must told that days before because the fork now is closing and your transaction or coins might be on risk.

If you intend to get a free BCC, then do so. But don't forget that we might lose all of our bitcoin in the process.
For op, as long as you hold your private keys, in the safest place, and you're n full control over it, then there's nothing to worry about.

I have heard that Bockchain wallet is going to be the only place for safe storage of bitcoins during the fork. But I heard it from my friend who is also in the community, so, as you can suppose I have no proves.
not really safe, I have seen many announcements and it was better to save the paper wallet, in essence, you have full access by having a private key. but for now, I think save in exchange such as bittrex is also safe since bittrex has announced who save bitcoin will get bitcoin cash.

I think blockchain will have guaranteed security. Because every wallet that has a private key will certainly get the security of the funds saved. If you really want to be safe then the offline wallet is the answer.

The safest thing to do is move your funds to an cold wallet / offline wallet that is open source and gives you the private keys. Exodus and Electrum are good wallets.
