I was going to wait until my knowledge of the situation was more certain before posting anything more about it, but it appears that the member of the group associated with ETHTrade is arguing in its defense with the ones who are not. It would really make my night easier to wait until they are done and I know what exactly is happening, but I could intrigue you all with the emerging details of their soap opera if this bitcointalk debate gets out of hand.

Surprisingly, all the people involved are real. I don't know why they chose to edit certain pictures like that. Trouble is, the Raja guy is deep in ETHTrade, but he's kinda rich and influential in the community over there in India (which is why he's put as the founder). The other brains behind the operation don't care about ETHTrade and wanna publicly denounce it (which NewsBTC recommended), but Raja is threatening them. I'm guessing the remaining team members are either in Raja's pocket or remaining neutral due to fear. Trying not to name who's who, there.

I felt I should bring it up immediately, though, because I suspect Raja is already collecting pre-ICO funding without the consent of the rest of the team, all of which he would control. Even if you believe in the idea behind this project, it's obviously not wise to invest under those conditions. In my opinion (which I might already get yelled at for expressing thus far), they are likely to split up, which will be costly for the remaining (anti-ETHTrade) team members but free them of scammy influences... those still interested should wait for that to occur and hope the project still has momentum to continue. I honestly can't tell you

I don't think everyone in the project was dishonest, although those who aren't were startlingly naive to get into this position. I'm not going to defend them or their reputations, though, if anybody wishes to pursue that; just trying to convey my understanding of the situation. I think it would make things worse if I didn't attempt to do so.

One of them said so, but said it was just Raja's friends and associates, nobody from bitcointalk or the general community. Neither I nor NewsBTC were even aware of it, actually.

I'm pretty sure they don't. They're not really part of the global cryptocurrency community very much. Schemes such as ETHTrade, OneCoin, MMM Global, etc tend to prey locally on newbies, especially in developing countries. One of the CoinFest organizers who does a lot of work in Africa is actually being sued by OneCoin for defamation.

I will be honest with you about foul play I see, but my role is to help people. Those people are usually somewhat naive, or else they would not need help. This is not surprising, ethtrade is running until today, the person behind the ethtrade must be someone with a lot of influence and enough power to threaten whoever is on his way.

As iterated and re-iterated, I hardly keep any knowledge or information about Ethtrade. Although your question may be valid, but i am afraid i cannot answer that.

To my understanding and discussions with internal Team, i announced about Raja, when i say he is no longer connected, this means, he has nothing to do with Ethtrade.

I guess, can understand your pain. This is why i requested you to look at other verticals and roadmap of ETHP. You will surely find it interesting.

I been involved with Ethtrade cos a friend Yago pardavila was used as a face of the website along with many others who disapeared soon.

3 days before Blockchain london Loise close stoking sent me 3 pictures confirming my worst nightmare Ethtrade was a scam.

after invest most of my money in this company and help to collect funds i felt horrible. i did put a report on the police wondering if any day we will see who was behind of it.

Now looks much better, not enough with seize all accounts from USA UK and Europe, now they start another scam but this time with profile pictures, if any of you are real ill find you and tbring you to the justice even if this mind spend my last pound on it.
