A state patrol man once told me people on bicycles shouldn't ride drunk because they might cause someone to hit them and kill them, so they'd have to live with that. But how many dead people care about those that killed them and their emotions, no matter who was at fault?

To me it seems like it hardly matters if a person on a bike has been drinking. Cars hit them anyways. (Sadly, I'm actually very pro bicycle and walking)

Tried driving with my car once and I was very drunk and I didn't even know how I got home. And in the morning when my wife woke me up and told me to go see my car, there was a big scratch in the side door which maybe when I parked it. It didn't cost me that much to do a repaint though. So im NEVER gonna do it again.

Riding while drunk is like trying to wake death up from its slumber to come take you.    Whatever you would have done in your normal self will increase 4x when drunk. I had a funny experience with my friends once when we rode bikes drunk. It was 4AM and we ware 2 miles away from our homes. It took us 1 hour to
come home. We crashed and fell to the ground several times. When I woke up I saw that my bike was not in the best condition, neither was I.

This is why you need 4 wheels for stability instead of 2 Driving while drunk is one of my best memories in life. But I seen my friends getting in trouble or crashing when drunk driving. It really takes special person to concentrate and also not to overspeed when drunk.

Driving while high on ganja is another story. I was so scared of cops that it was possible that I could bail out from running car. This could be bad because I was the driver Also it felt strange that it is something wrong. Checked all dials and the car was running fine, but I felt like something does not work, like headlights. Also another car approached and it looked like police car. Then it morphed from police RangeRover into my friends Audi A4 in front of my eyes.

I would be lying if i have not done riding my motorcycle or driving my car under the influence of alcohol..i know it is irresponsible to do so and I apologize for doing it..im still lucky that i have not caused any accident so far..I am not justifying it but i am more careful when driving drunk than when i am sober..or maybe being sober increases my confidence in driving?Anyways we should not be drunk riding/driving since our body has slower reactions compared to being sober..it is same as being tired and sleepy while driving..It is an accident waiting to happen..stay safe guys!

I rode my motorcycle drunk when about 19 after having a fight with then sort of girlfriend who was living at the same university student housing campus as I was.

I was an Aussie with long hair and like many guys my age, a big risk taker. She was an American cheerleader, and before this fling, something I never thought would happen to me in this lifetime. She was an absolute stunner and head turner.

I got tanked on booze one night at a party, and she was flirting with other guys. I used to get jealous, but I don't anymore.

I jumped on my bike and rode to a friends house. Coming around a corner, I hit a pot hole and came off the bike at quite some speed.

Had I of been sober this probably wouldn't have happened.

But as a result of the crash on account of the way the bike flipped, I hit the ground with my shoulder first. With all my body weight and momentum of the speed I was travelling behind it.

Subsequently I ripped off all the ligaments in my collarbone that attach it to the shoulder. It was grade 3 damage to the  acromioclavicular joint. Permanent and irreversible.

20 years later, that injury has had a bearing effect on my entire spinal alignment, and I live with pain from it everyday. And it's only going to get worse.

It's not the potential immediate ramifications of operating any vehicles drunk (car, bicycle, horse, motorbike) that can be costly, it's the possibility of having to endure lifelong problems because of it.

Alcohol and driving is just asking for trouble. If you do it, and continue to do it, you will pay a price. That I know.
