Thanks Useful thank you, You're welcome. Trying to help, but there are some issues that are beyond anyone's control once set in stone... I saw in this forum post : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=224026.0 - [ANN] Gold Coin Hard Fork - Update your Binaries Immediately advice to use: rpcuser=1 rpcpassword=1 in the goldcoin.conf You must use a Random (and long) password for these settings and a different user name or you can have your .wallet 'hacked'...Following the related thread post I saw numerous network access attempts, from known 'bad' IP ranges, scanning rpcport 8122 probably for this very purpose. I'm investigating the block chain and the full source code for each release. I probably should of done that before. Anyway, the ongoing calamities vs the potential of GLDcoin is whats keeping me interested at this time.

At one time I was very interested in GLD because I truly believe it has a lot of potential in terms of mass appeal. Consumer adoption is key to long term business success and the name Gold Coin does have a nice ring. In my view this coin has the potential of overtaking litecoin as the number two BTC contender as long as all shady elements are removed. That is why I also find it highly troubling that the administrator/operator of the "official GLD forum" is now a known/confirmed scammer. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=225137.0He is selling it, http://www.gldcointalk.org/index.php?topic=146.0

Lol, not surprised to see Kr4X doing that at all... he had shown he is nervous about his gld stake the other day and that he shat himself after realizing he won't get rich in a week.
Kid.. but Microguy, next time be more careful when dealing with kids, what forum someone runs means heck all, it's 10 dollars for domain, 10 for hosting and half an hour to setup one.
Unfortunately, the state of crypto community is such that you have to look at everyone as potential scammer, even if he is the honest guy. The easiness of scamming has attracted all kind of scums here so you have to be extremely careful and use escrow in most cases. Unfortunately, you've learned it on hard way, shame, you looked like a nice guy from what I've seen from you so far.
And sorry, but it's silly that you suggested in other thread that gld community has to feel responsible for this. I don't find myself the part of any community in it's full meaning but I do own goldcoins and to be honest with you I couldn't give a shit what kr4x is doing let alone feel responsibility for that. I understand you're angry now but what you are suggesting is nonsense and you have to be angry on yourself at first.

So, here is the deal: the owner of gldcointalk scammed someone for 500K gldcoins and has closed the forum. This member was also posting on threads that GLDcoin is dead and that he was dumping all his coins. He was also selling the forum to make his last quick buck before he left the GLDCoin community. I have therefore created a new forum for us which can be found here: http://gldcoinforum.comI have some decent knowledge about PHP, Mysql, CSS and HTML so I will be able to manage this forum correctly. We need a stable website with a supportive admin to build a solid base for the community. I hope I will see you on the GLDCoin forum! Thanks
