Have you guys installed this wallet on the same system as your Electrum wallet? Or have you used 2 different computers as recommended? Just curious because I installed a virtual machine with ubuntu and installed the Electron-Cash wallet. This method worked as well. But of course before importing any private keys in Electron-cash make sure you have transferred your BTC to a new wallet before!!!

Weird thing is, I had 3.95 BTC during the fork, but Electron Cash only shows me at 1.43 BCC. What's up with that?

I don't get why the programmers of electrum do not implement bcc into their wallet software
They are main focus with bitcoin and on their website they said that it's still better to be sure of. As the developer of electron doesn't want to disclose his real identity so they are giving everyone a warning. Weird thing is, I had 3.95 BTC during the fork, but Electron Cash only shows me at 1.43 BCC. What's up with that?
You sure about that? or you send the 2.52 BTC during the fork and not before?

all seems to be fine with electron cash. just make sure to transfer your BTCs to another wallet in post-forked BTC chain, prior to importing into eelctron cash. just seems that there's nowhere to go yet. when the difficulty adjustment is expected?

Wait, so you're saying to see my full Bitcoin Cash balance in Electron Cash, I should send all my BTC to myself in Electrum? Or am I misunderstanding?

Not to see, but to be on the safe side of things:) Also something like this - https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/6qyn18/electroncash_notice_how_to_select_bitcoincash/Not sure I did it differently a bit. Unchecked auto-connect and just opened my old wallet from dat. Changed nothing in networks as I remember. Now waiting for exchanges to enable deposits... when the network will start moving.

Then is always good first to read things before of doing anything to avoid bad steps that culminate in losing everything,so it's worth wasting a little time before doing it,otherwise anybody can finish wasting more time trying of fix the things, another very important thing is that everybody should always visit the official sites as in this case visit the official electrum website,if there is a situation of not being sure about what to do it is better to wait.

Okay wow, I'm stupid. Yeah, I totally neglected to see that I needed to basically make a new wallet. Hopefully this works.

IMHO if you haven't touched that ~3.95 BTC in a month, you do not have to hurry to get BCC now,in the rush something can go wrong, better beware, better use for example some block explorer to see your balance only, one for BTC and another for BCC.

Hi, A few questions, answers are very much appreciated. 1. Does it matter which BCC server I select? (Network/Tools) Is this one okay for example?: "bcc.arihanc.com" Since the instructions of this article: https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@electroncash/electron-cash-how-to-check-you-are-on-the-bitcoin-cash-chain- state that I have to select one that starts with "651e". None of the 9 nodes appearing starts with this sequence tho. So I just manually selected the above mentioned one.. And after selecting it, it went to the proper display of funds (where before my funds appeared as uncorfirmed sent out funds) It also didn't detect a chain split when I went to tools/network, which was stated as seomthing that should occure in the article. It just loaded all blocks. And then I could manually select a node, which seems to display the rigth BCC balance now.. So everything seems to be in order, but I'd like to be sure. So Am I in the clear and free to use my BCC? 2. Also what are the risks of using Electron Cash on the same Device where you have Electrum installed. Do this risks only apply when you use both wallets simultaniously? Or in general? Since I am not using the old Electrum now (have sent my BTC balance to a different wallet). But the software is still installed on my PC. 3. Is there any time indication of when the network will produce enough blocks to move around funds conveniently to other wallets and exchanges? Thanks in advance! Best Regards, Tom
