Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the
subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The
subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Hello everyone. I have a problem claiming my Bitcoin cash from the private keys. I had a BTC balance on Electrum wallet (with 2fa enabled) before and after the swap. Moved my BTC after the swap to a diff address for security reasons. Now cannot use my private keys, every wallet (Electron cash, coinomi, Bitcoin ABC ) says that there is no funds on those keys, but the block explorer confirms that my Bitcoin Cash is there: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-cash/address/36XmauGXBMEMjMNbRXxmCWy1X8g9SLEwFC. What am I doing wrong? Anyone has an idea? Thanks. Will pay 100$ in BTC to a person who will find a solution to my problem (fyi, I don't have my seed phrase for Electrum wallet) Make sure you're connected on the bitcoin cash blockchain network not on bitcoin regardless what client you use The wallets have issues they keep get 'poisoned' by bitcoin nodes moving them to the wrong blockchain, it's real pain in the ass.

That was the first thing I checked You are actually getting those priv keys from the wallet addresses, right? Like: 1) Open the menu "View" and click on "Show Addresses" 2) Then open the new tab "Addresses" 3) Right click on the addresses that had Bitcoin before the fork, then click "Private key". 4) Click on the qrcode icon to show it. 5) Sweep them with Coinomi Do the addresses that you know to have BCH show up at all in the addresses list in electrum? I'm having an issue with Mycelium missing addresses that have BCH, just 0.02 but still annoying that the 3 and 4 BHC show up while an address used minutes later disappeared completely.

1. I open Electrum bitcoin-Wallet (with 2FA from trustcoin) and look at the adresses 2. I look up the one adress in Blockdozer and it tells me that my BCC are there 3. I open Coinomi BCC Wallet 4. I scan the Electrum private-key-Picture from the adress where my Blockdozer shows my BCC are 5. Coinomi says 'there are no funds on this private key'
Anyone knows what's wrong here?
Thanks!!

"Ok everyone, I believe that I have used Electron Cash successfully. Here's how: I followed the procedure (at https://electrum.org/bcc.txt) faithfully, xfering my bitcoins to a new electrum wallet on another computer. I downloaded my version of Electron Cash by following the link on bitcoincash.org and clicking on the Electron Cash link in the list of Wallets. I then clicked on the "Run from Source Code" link which downloaded Electron-Cash-2.9.2.tar.gz to my computer. -You may find it interesting that the tar.gz file contained what looked like the kind of data one would find when downloading source code but also contained within the archive was a compiled version of Electron Cash. I found no instructions indicating how to compile the source code but I didn't look very hard. I realize that I have NO ability to analyze the code anyway so regardless of how I proceeded a certain leap of faith was required. With that in mind I simply ran: ./electron-cash in my konsole........" etc. Second post from https://www.reddit.com/user/pjimerson

Hi there. So i wanted to give it a try and used a small wallet to check if electron cash is safe to use. Well it is not. I imported a wallet using all the precautions needed to save my bitcoins, and imported a small amount of bcc into the wallet. A couple of minutes later the bcc were sent away like magic. Farewell... So be carefull!!! Here's a screenshot upload picI am pretty sure that it really depends on where you get the wallet from. There's a bunch of websites out there that state that they have an Electron Cash wallet though they have some kind of virus placed onto it so the money could get transferred without the person being around to approve it. I've used the official wallet and did what it stated to do within their website and I was able to get Bitcoin Cash without losing any Bitcoin (I did have to spend about 0.0001 BTC as a transaction fee). After I've received Bitcoin Cash I just sent it to an exchange.

Hello everyone, I transferred an amount of BCH into Electron Cash. I don't have the seed for the wallet, and when I tried to sweep the private key into another wallet, it says there are no funds available. I'm not sure what the issue is, can someone please help me?

I think you are trying to sweep the funds into another wallet. You need the private keys of the address that had funds on the fork time, not now, and only the address, not the seed for the whole wallet

Any of you have been able to reclaim BCC from blockchain.info wallet ?!? How did you do it ?!
I have moved my coins to another address within my blockchain.info wallet, but is it safe to reclaim BCC with electron cash wallet with my seed phrase now ?!
So I loaded the wallet with my seed, but now I see and unconfirmed transaction (when I moved all my BTC to the other address) and it's blocking me from withdrawing my coins because it's if I had 0 BCC..
Anyone can help ?!
Edit: Found the problem, Wasn't on the good network. You have the change the server in tools - network - Server tab - uncheck Select server automatically box - Go to server tab - Replace the one written by an electron... one - Go back to overview and recheck the select server automatically box
Then it should work

1. I open Electrum bitcoin-Wallet (with 2FA from trustcoin) and look at the adresses 2. I look up the one adress in Blockdozer / Blockchair and it tells me that my BCC are there – so I have public and private key 3. I create Coinomi BCC Wallet 4. I click ‘receive coins from paper wallet’ 5. I scan the Electrum private-key-Picture from the adress where my Blockdozer shows my BCC are -> I check, yes, the picture gave the correct private key 5. Coinomi says 'there are no funds on this private key'
Anyone knows what's wrong here? I would like to give 100 Dollars in Bitcoin for whoever that gives me tips and I do what you say and i get my BCC out of this address into an exchange.

You are to blame for this. It was necessary to review the information before use.

Can you get a word-seed from electrum to import elsewhere? ps Electroncash worked perfect for me, the only wallet that found my "missing" address that the stand-alone priv. key retriever never produced, even if I loaded 1000 addresses. So move your btc elsewhere and: In electroncash: file-new/restore, pick a name-next, standard wallet-next, "I already have a seed"-next, enter seed words- under option check bip39, next etc.

What information? They gather our wallet information without asking and put us in a dangerous situation, don't they? After I read this thread, I deleted electrum app from my smart phone and I'll never use it again. No need to risk my funds.

It says balance is 0 bcc (i look up on blockchair: bcc are still there) I up the reward to 120 dollars I have public and private keys, can i get my bcc?

Roccker and Andy88, at what block count is your electroncash now, click green button to see, about 479,713, so fully updated? https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin%20cash/ps. only get it from http://www.electroncash.org/EDIT: Another method, sorry if you tried it already: In Electrum, after moving your BTC to a save other wallet, go to wallet-private keys-export, save the key, Now in electroncash: file-new/restore, to the right of the wallet name suggestion click "choose" and pick the key you saved from the Electrum wallet before.
