Write in this thread if you think, that moderators are deleting too much with the new rules. New forum rules discourage libertarians, developers and business people, basically anyone who contributes valuable content to the forum. New forum rules attract only kids fresh out of school.

What they wrote in FAQs like "some users here have prickly shells, but we've grown to love them", this is not true anymore. Basically now unusual and insightful opinions can be deleted. And often are deleted, because mods are oversensitive. They promise free speech, but they aren't men of word. There is no free speech here, and no respect for user's time. If you want to have a forum for kids run by kids, go on and keep the current level of deleting posts.

Bitcoin was advertised as libertarian currency. But for some undisclosed reason the owners of this forum changed their minds. Now we are heading towards bitcoin currency regulated by governments and have the bitcoin forum without free speech, which means the whole thing is not libertarian at all.

The policy to not remove anything worked when the forum was small. Now that we have thousands of posts a day, we can't afford 50% of them being junk. The moderators are now instructed to be less tolerant of low-value posts.

Some guidelines:

1. Free speech - you can say anything as long as it is relevant and presented in a calm and polite manner. Swearing, SHOUTING etc. make your post more likely to be removed.
2. No zero value posts or threads, like "SELL SELL SELL"
3. No pointless or uninteresting threads.
4. No referral code spam
5. No NSFW content

The world would be way worse if people like you ran it. Look outside your window. The only thing keeping another person/neanderthal from jumping into your house and killing you for your belongings is this society that you seem to despise so much. Once again I ask all you ULTRA-Libertines to LOOK OUT SIDE THE WINDOW.

Well, I AM somewhat libertarian, and I agree with the OP. Valid comment is being spiked, while juvenile babbling is left untouched. I can tell the difference, and I wish the mods could too!

When people are coming in here and manipulating peoples lively-hoods with lies, I would call it just as bad as murder. Which is exactly what the moderators here are trying to prevent, scammers/spammers/thugs and overall liers. Anyone in this community looking to make a good point, is welcomed with open arms, and usually people are quick to come to the aide of any injustices in the community.

No, they aren't, more often they are treated with contempt and the person coming to their aid is some other noob.  There are some genuine people of course but a lot of the hostility is just pathetic.

There need to be more mods, and the forums more severely moderated.

I don't visit very many forums.  But this one is a total cluster-f*** because of people posting the same thread topics over and over, all of the troll threads, etc.

People have the right to discuss things in a civil manner.  But if people come on here simply to attack people or just to thread crap, they can go to the kiddy pool.

Maybe it's because the people who have been here for 2 - 1/2 years - and truly understand the technology- are SICK AND TIRED of noobs/scammers/flamers/and trolls coming here talking out their ass with every single post. It smells like manure every time I open a thread. I was a noob just a month ago, but I got it immediately, and understood what this technology meant. And I gotta say after a month of being here I actually FEEL for all the developers and early supporters. The morons who peddle this as some type of HYIP or super investment are in for an ugly surprise. This is a system that cannot be destroyed, and the value of our currency is backed up by our faith in the system. The system is flawless, it has been thought through and through by people much smarter than me, you , or quite frankly anyone posting on these boards. The system is more powerful than the worlds top 500 super computers...

Don't you think they saw this coming? Our job is to be above all of it, to grow up, and be mature. I bet the majority of the people on these forums are under that age of 30. That tells you something about the maturity level of everyone here including myself. Even if we don't see it in ourselves right now it's the time for us to act like adults, and truly start showing people why we think this is special, and how most importantly we think it will be able to help people change the world we live in today.

Wrong, he despises the government and busybodies like you, not society. Law Enforcement is more worried about arresting us for simon says rules than protecting us from actual criminals. Murderers and thugs are far more afraid of the .38 snubnose I keep concealed on my person at all times than the cops. And no I don't have a concealed carry permit.

Well, I AM somewhat libertarian,

No such thing as somewhat libertarian.

This forum was all right some time ago. It was one of my favourite forums, until people started to call for moderation. Now there are too many unresponsible mods, who overuse their delete button.

I feel that what you call "right to discuss things in a civil manner" is what I call hypocrisy. If someone is annoyed by letters displayed on his computer screen, he has emotional problems, and should not be treated seriously. Forum rules should not be changed because of people with emotional problems, who get easily annoyed by anything. Forum rules should support people who contribute value. A lot of valuable insights get deleted, because they annoy someone or are not "civil" or "proper".

In simple truth high traffic forum will have rules to go by, there is no other way around it, else overwhelming junk will make good members look elsewhere

You own a gun, I don't. I need society to keep me safe because I simply don't want to pack heat, I'm not familiar with it, and never have been attracted to firearms, but I respect anyone who chooses to own one.

Now I know for a fact that there is at-least one person in your life you care about who doesn't own a gun, and you rely on the system that we currently live in, to protect your loved ones. You see they may not own a gun , but people who own LOTS of guns are only 15 seconds away with a 3 digit phone call. You claiming independence from our governmental system is like a bee claiming independence from it's hive, it can sting once and die, but if it calls for help the bee triples it's power.

It's perfectly in line with libertarian ideology to have a moderated private forum. Don't like it? Make your own. I'm very pleased that the mods have been very proactive. In fact, I wish they would do more.

Thread hijack. I have no problem with something like this being deleted.

I may or may not agree with the subject, but the form is improper, and only adds to the noise level.

I was going to write something similar about "make your own". Though mine would have had a bit less moderator ass-kissing and a bit more panache.

If you believe in libertarian ideals, you will recognize the right of a private website to come up with whatever rules they wish.  You are free to start your own forum in line with your wishes.

In addition, you can have uncensored forums in FreeNET.

There are bitcoin boards in the main board systems - frost, fms, freetalk
