The correct term is continuing what was started. There were some problems with so many exchanges were USDE was listed, many coins are lost. We have formed a team of initial volunteers, and we're looking to continue on the initial track because USDE was, in my case the first crypto coin that I bought (beside btc) and we really believe that it could change how US citizens, in special, perceive cryptocurrencies

To get you an idea;
After the collapse of Cryptsy, so many coins have been abandoned, died, and so on.
USDE, has always been alive but without a concrete communion.
For a while he was locked up on Alcurex, I do not know if it is still there.
Personally, I was opening my wallet every 3,4 months for sync, I knew that one day it was reborn.
All the same, I mean, the old coins have a higher value than other garbage that is born like mushrooms (ICO) for example.
To let you know what I did with Html5, before Cryptsy went bankrupt, I managed to get out with a large amount of coins.
I know other coins, Tek, Hyper, Colossuscoin etc, etc...

I don't know exactly what are you talking about? USDE is a cryptocurrency just like btc, eth, ltc and so on. There are countries that recognize this new financial instruments, other countries are taking them in consideration, other countries sees them as common goods.

Problems with the tax and other bodies monitoring the legality of funds. For example, I will earn 1 million in your system. It is unlikely that the conclusion to the fiat will be possible.

Yeah, I've known for a long time that this coin already exists because of the lack of support and volume or abandoned by dev then disappears with no word and now suddenly reappears. Continuing the project or reborn may be the next step in order not to repeat things that have happened before, I'll keep an eye to this thread, good luck and keep up the good work guys

Walet sync took a long time,

Same here, but I pushed through it. At one point I accidentally removed my ethernet cable during the sync and had to start over from scratch after it corrupted. That sucked.

It would be great if somebody created a bootstrap for new or returning users.

The coin dates back for years, so unfortunately the transaction history is large.

Well, as with most altcoins, you will need to convert to BTC or another crypto that has a direct fiat withdrawal to your bank account. This can be accomplished through many exchanges. We are working with USDE and hope to get it to a point where you don't have to convert to BTC. As for Tax implications, we cannot give tax advice because there are so many countries and laws around the world. Our only advice is to follow the tax laws for your jurisdiction.

Regarding your previous comments related to the previous devs I assure you that the person who started this project had suffered a terrible accident and he was unable to move, he is currently is the recovering phase. We didn't knew that until he contacted us. When he will be in a better state he will join us once again. Sometimes there are more important things in life then anything else. We appreciate his previous and further efforts. I personally will always be grateful to him because USDE was the first coin and community that I got in this cryptocurrency world.

To continue on the same line, cryptocurrencies like USDE relies mostly on the strength of the community that's why Luckyguy, RB25, and Owner tried to get USDE back on the right track. I will reiterate again, we are not here for the short gain. Our main purpose was to get talented people back to USDE. We wanted to bring most of the users back and to attract new ones and in order to do that we needed to have a stable coin and services. Owner was always here and did his best when the pool had problems. We had time to test the network and wallets and the explorer by offering rewards. We had over 720 wallets downloads before we were listed on Yobit.

To continue improve USDE starting from next week we will release our bounties for attracting new developers, content creators, marketing specialists. We will start a campaign on Google Adwords focused mainly on US.

We are just getting started. More news will come soon.

We are discussing many ideas to update USDE from its beginning days. I think with any coin you have to look at the fundamentals and the team behind it. In our case, we have a good start, but we know we need to make improvements to bring USDE in line with today's coins.

We have been on Yobit for a few days now and have seen some good signs of renewed interest. More people coming here and engaging with us is a huge positive. We love hearing from people and discussing ideas that can be implemented in our chain.

Regarding our future plans we are looking to improve USDE's algo and we would like you to come with any ideas if you have. What features, functionalities should it have. When the new algo will tested and ready to launch we will swap our old coins to the ones and unclaimed coins will be burned. We will do the exchange at 1/10 ratio. The new coin will have a total supply of 160 Millions instead of 1,6 billions. We expect that more than 30% of the current USDE is lost. The swaping process will take 1 month to give old users the chance to exchange them and it will happen either on an exchange or on our own website www.usde.co.
