About BCC

So I don't know much about it, just have a quick question. Let's say I got like $200 in btc sent to my wallet on the 1st, does that mean I also have BCC? From what I've read I'll need to send all my BTC in my wallet to a new wallet, then "sweep" the BCC.

I'm just curious if that is the right process and if I possibly have BCC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Correct, you have in BCC all the BTC sent to an address of yours before the 1st

It depends on which wallet you use. If you use a private wallet, such as Electrum, now you hace BCC.
But if you keep your bitcoins on any wallet or exchanges that you have not access to your private key, it depends on that wallets or exchanges if they give you BCC.

So within the lifetime I've had the wallet open? Or just the funds that were in it before the 1st? I'm assuming funds that were in it before the 1st. I got a few hundred bucks sent to me on the 1st, so don't think I've got anything sadly.

Also I was using Blockchain. I made an electrum wallet on the 1st as well because I wanted to have my private keys and have been considering making an offline/cold wallet once I figure out how.

I'm a total noob on how bitcoin works exactly, I just know it's money lol.

For your own security ,the best possible solution is to move your bitcoin to a safer wallet and use the private key when the bitcoin cash was created and use that private key in the bitcoin cash wallet to get the coins ,always make sure that you are downloading the correct wallet because you might see many scams in this scene at this time.

-> Yes you also have BCC.
-> What you have heard is wrong ? The process of converting BTC To BCH from your wallets it's not simple.You may lose your bitcoins or would have your wallet compromised in the process.If I had to give you a wise advice,forget about claiming your BCH for a week or two until there is  a stable/secure way of doing so.

If you saved BTC before the 1st of August on your exchanger will automatically get BCC, I think that now you are too late to get BCC for free, but you can buy BCC with cheap price now

Did you use a wallet with access to private keys when you did this?

Did you do this on an exchange that does not allow you to access private keys?

Also, you had to have done your BTC transaction and have it before the BCC split happened. If you did it a few hours too late you will not get the BCC.

I know about BBC . Every One can use it as like bitcoin but btc is one of the best in this digital market.

Many exchanges are giving BCC to their users (many already have). Also, I don't think there are many wallets that don't show your private keys.
I remember multibit used to be like that, but it's no longer supported and they have allowed for their users to implement their seeds into electrum, which showes private keys, so we can cross this one out. Do you guys know any software wallets that don't support BCC and also don't give you access to your keys?
