It depends on which wallet you use. If you use a private wallet, such as Electrum, now you hace BCC.
But if you keep your bitcoins on any wallet or exchanges that you have not access to your private key, it depends on that wallets or exchanges if they give you BCC.
Many exchanges are giving BCC to their users (many already have). Also, I don't think there are many wallets that don't show your private keys.
I remember multibit used to be like that, but it's no longer supported and they have allowed for their users to implement their seeds into electrum, which showes private keys, so we can cross this one out. Do you guys know any software wallets that don't support BCC and also don't give you access to your keys?
