That is the right thing to do, you need to invest in something so you can diversify and your eggs will not be putted in just one basket. Real estate or something that can be a solid back up investment is a good way to put your money because you don't need to worry about your preservation of money for long term purposes.

Trying to accumulate more as my dream villa near the prairie is just around $100,000. Real estate is so darn cheap here in our country that it really is a good investment in the long run. Besides, maintenance and manpower is cheap plus the cost of living too. Aside from my dream villa, I've also wanted to get a couple of empty lands just for resale. Property developers do pay hefty amount to such lands too.

I am wondering how many of you are selling your bitcoins to buy something solid like real estate as backup investment? spread the eggs!

I want to obviously own my own house but unfortunately they just cost way too much in my country for an average Joe like me to afford it. Seriously, it sucks when you think about it. You're literally paying off your landlord's mortgage, and you know this. But you can't do anything about it because you can't afford even downpayment for buying a house because it's just so damn expensive.

I'm trying to do odd jobs now here and there to try build up some sort of bitcoin stash, so that in future i can finally afford my own house.

But right now, i do think that bitcoin is a far better investment than houses. Which is why i'm not rushing to sell any of my coin. It has so much more potential to perform than the housing market.

Yes, the idea is that you should always diversify. However i don't really think that real estate is a good investment at this moment because as a lot of people have said in this thread, real estate is a bubble in a lot of countries.

I mean sure, you could buy some housing ETFs but just don't put too much in it. The idea is to diversify, not to bet on the real estate market alone.

If i were you though i would definitely pass on the idea of investing in real estate for something else. For example, commodities, altcoins, precious metals, insurance, etc. etc. Bitcoin is a great investment, but that doesn't mean that it's bulletproof.

Just don't forget what happened in 2008.

right now, i am not selling my bitcoin to buy real estate because my bitcoin is not yet enough to buy but i am sure that in future when my bitcoin is enough, i will buy real estate for another investment. i think from time to time, the price of real estate will get increase too but i am not too worry because i am sure the price of bitcoin will be higher than the real estate so i can buy one or two.

In 2008, the real estate market collapsed and since that time I don't see growth in property prices. In the same year there was bitcoin and all this time, he shows a stable growth dynamics. I see no reason to invest in real estate.

I'm expecting the price of real estate to decline. There aren't enough buyers in markets to maintain prices. Governments resort to a number of programs to finance loans(even knowing they're statistically likely to fail).

There are claims that Donald Trump created 1 million jobs since taking office. If that continues real estate prices might be maintained on average higher spending in the economy. I can't say I've looked at stats or tried to calculate how much of a bubble real estate is.

It seems natural for prices to decline. The buying power of economies is being reduced due to tax hikes, low wage growth against inflation/average cost of living and other variables. Buying power usually translates to decreased demand in sectors like real estate and that usually translates to reduced prices once state sanctioned real estate loan programs run out of steam.

That's my guessestimate. Can't say I've looked into it much. If I planned to buy real estate, I might consider waiting awhile for the bottom of the markets to drop out again.

In my area you would need a large amount of bitcoins to buy real estate.
So no, I would not do that.
To me (and I think to the majority here) it's the case that I buy bitcoin with fiat, and consider that to be my investment.
Reinvesting my coins into something else does not make much sense to me. At least not at the moment.

  It's me!!!

For now i don't any plans to buy like real estate or to build my own home .I will only exchange my butcoins into fiat when i'm in need nothing more  than on it . Because i plan to expand my family business , to have a store ,and hopefully a mini  factory .i think that was enough .
Real estates are profitable as it creates a passive income and its in demand everyday there are a family who are finding house to rent but for me it needs a maintenance especially if a person is not good in using the home things etc.. However spreading your investments is a very good thing that a rich mindset have.

Wow, good for you guys that you already bought properties using your bitcoins. Yes, real estate is good if properly managed. You can at least live in it or maybe rent it out for extra money. Or maybe do both at the same time, it's possible for modestly-sized homes.

I doubt any builder will accept bitcoin as a payment of a real estate, at least not in my country. The house I am currently living in as a tenant, will cost 24 bitcoins, if I want to buy. So it's a huge amount for sure.

However, I have been saving bitcoins from a long time now since the price was at 450 USD. So I believe, if I keep doind the same activities for another 5-7 years to come, I would be able to pay a big chunk of my house price from my bitcoin savings only. It will help me take a less amount of bank loan and also the EMI amount will be lowered.

That seems like a good idea for me to be honest. Didn't think of such a thing before, but yeah if I am gonna do that, I need to wait for some more years so that I could buy a proper bigger piece of property and not randomly. You would be benefitted from that if you convert your btc and convert into your native currency and the  buy a property, boom you should be lucky if you buy property only by spending on how much you earned in bitcoin.

I'm already sold some of my bitcoin to buy real estate, but if you are looking for the exact number of the users that already bought real estate and it can't be determined. It is a safe investment and good to be your backup rather than use the insurance.

Bitcoin obviously could be used to buy real estate and there are many such transactions already done.
Ever read some of those transactions and if you check on google, there are a lot of real estate offered for bitcoin
https://www.bitpremier.com/5-real-estate
All you need is looking for a realtor and lawyer to process and fulfill legal documents about it.

I think you do not need to use bitcoin to purchase real estate, it's an unnecessary job, if you want to make a profit, use bitcoin to trade altcoin.

I think a lot of people are doing the same thing. As everyone knows, bitcoin is just a virtual currency, so its stability can not be compared to other things. To ensure the safety of their money, many sell bitcoin to invest in real estate or other things safer.

That is right, we should invest in something that has assurance or a lower risk to lose money because if we will just invest in bitcoin alone or other cryptocurrencies without having back up investments then it will lead us to possible huge loss in the future because the market value of the coins are not fixed and they are very flexible and they can go up very high or very low so it is better to manage our money very well.

Exactly, my dream when working in Bitcoin is how to earning many money for buy some real estate and rent them for create passive income every day!? But this is the difficult road and not easy complete in one year, so I'm working very hard until this dream become true.
