I haven't mined there for a while but I decided to go look at my payments page and see how much dust I had collecting out there...turned out to be 95 payments worth... 0.00196058 or about $6.50. I'm surprised he still hasn't paid out the dust to the users after all this time, especially given the substantial increase in value.

Do you mind if I ask your total actual payments from using Kano pool?  I'm trying to figure out the percentage of those payments the unpaid amount represents.  Also, what Th/s did you mine at when at his pool?  Thanks.

I'd love to mine at ckpool. I really like the 0% fee + block generation payout. The problem is I cannot trust them after ck threw away MONTHS of work over "code exploding" once a diff to find a block was found. He didn't even explain what happened nor grantee if it would happen again. Because of that, that pool is dead to me now unfortunately.

so we know some bad things might happen.
What should he told you about that code fucked up?
He was not Happy about it and sorry for the loss, and he fixed the code hopefully.
It is not the situation like on the solo pool, that was stable code running for 2 years now, and he
compensate the miner fully. I don't know what other pool owner would do if that happens to them, so
why I should not trust him!

Update: Due to recent increases in the value of BTC, the figure I have previously come up with for the amount Kano's unpaid 'dust' represents, roughly $50k, is now much closer to $70k  ($68,000 at current rates of $4,250 USD per BTC).

Kano, every day you fail to make good on what you owe, the deeper the hole gets.  PAY YOUR MINERS.

Main reason to you being here I think is making big money spending small money.

I went to Kano's pool with an S3 end of july, and after two blocks another S3, two blocks more and I was out of dust. I got a couple blocks more, then a 440% block almost made me go back to slush. After that there was a couple more ramp up payments before I was in full pay, going straight to wallet every time. This pplns scheme is best paying period. Dust is 0.00014 btc okay, but site states "* Dust payments are not automatically sent out".

Irrelevant to the topic.  Who I am does not change the fact that Kano should pay what he owes people, ASAP.

But the answer is because I have faith that bitcoin will increase in value.  So it's worth it to mine at 'just-barely-breaking even'.   And that's working so far, BTC's jump in value the last week has made me a lot more than what mining has. 

This is all basically a learning experiment anyways until/if my S9's show up.  Knowing as much as I can about Bitcoin is of value even if it comes with expense.

I mine at Kano and do believe it's the best pool around.  I like getting my piece of the transactions fees, where some pools do not share, KanoPool does share the transaction fees with his miners. I also think Kano is fair and provides great support. I believe Kano will get you your dust payments at some point in the future, just like everyone else who has dust on the pool.

The thing I don't understand is, Kano has made all of this clear, and yet here you are losing sleep and time festering over the thought of never getting your dust. Is it really worth it?

The Bitcoin community should police itself.  When a pool operator has run off with $68,000+ USD of their miner's money, someone needs to shine a light on that.  Frankly I'm amazed it's taken this long for someone to get the pitchforks and torches.  Three years?!?

And let's not forget...



A better question is, why does it bother you that I want my money?  Why the hell wouldn't I?

and out of all them other payments and pay outs I have yet to even be shorted on single Saatchi on my payments nore have I ever paid any thing in fees to get my payments in to my wallet. If I felt I was been cheated or that kano was not as transparent with every thing.   The reason I mine on kanos pool is also the same reason why I DO NOT mine to ant pool at all anymore.

As I said in an earlier post, if you have a high capacity mining setup, your rates are significantly lower than miners with less hardware.

Also, the low rates that you enjoy are subsidized by the high rates that people like me pay.  12-15 cents for you, $2.00+ for me.  And that's just from 24 hours of mining.

Basically, Kano is buying you off with my money.  Anyone with a shred of decency would find this absolutely unacceptable.

From what I found about the first small payments going to an Jaxx wallet I could not transfer 0.007 btc to another wallet because fee became too high with all small incomings. Lesson learned, stick to core, but anyhow, I'm more than happy the dust is at kano rather than going to tx fees. I hope to get them paid out in about 10 years time

The first block is dust, but else you get paid for, not wasting your electricity
Check the block page, when a block confirms payment is sent with the next found block on pool. You'll notice the next payments ramp up too.

2) None of my last 3 payments have shown on my blockchain
3) 3 Payments from December 25th to 29th. it is now January 6th and they still do not show up. Kano states payment sent 12 days ago but the blockchain states not sent.
ANY HELP .. Kano does not seem to have any help.

Wow, glad i came across this. Was just about to add my couple measly TH/s to kano's... Any advice for someone looking for lowest fee's possible, with lowest minimum auto withdrawals. I have been at btc.com since they have .001 minimum auto withdrawals... Was gonna try viabtc but they have .01?! (am I missing something)? 

Are those of us with little HS/s stuck with mining bch unless they want their funds tied up on the pools site for weeks? I get that the fee's are crazy but Im fine with .001 btc as a min. What other pools do .001 (or lless free auto withdrawals, hopefully with lowest fee's possible..

Once i get to fully payment per hash, i put the other 16 units there.

Have i lost anything in this process? Do the other 16 units now have to go through 5n too?

The only way to 'lose' any shares/shifts on Kano's pool is if a block takes over 500% since the PPLNS is set to 5Nd (i.e. 5x the current network difficulty). In that specific case, any shares submitted prior to the current 5Nd will not be considered in the look-back period for anyone's portion of the new block reward. Exponentially more frequent, though, is the case that your shifts are being rewarded over and above 100%--something impossible with PPS pools (barring the interesting claim of Antpoo's 0% fee plus a 16% bonus).

And, just for the record, I started mining at KanoPool in January 2018 with an Avalon 6 (3.6TH/s), and I've been over the 0.00010000 BTC dust threshold since my very first reward. The first one was super close, but it was paid out just the same.

Finally, to answer your--and probably others'--question about ramping up to your miners' advertized hashrate: all hashrate--added all at once or increased over time--must ramp up over a full 5Nd until it 'feels' like you're instantly getting the full reward for your portion of the work. I say 'feels' since--assuming luck stays at 100%--you'll always get paid 5/5ths of your total work, but if you're still ramping up, you'll get 1/5 now and 4/5 later; 2/5 now and 3/5 later; etc.

*** The easiest-to-understand analogy I can give on how PPLNS works is how some employers used to withhold your first paycheck; however, even after you quit, you still get yet another paycheck--except with PPLNS, they would average how much you worked over the past five (5) weeks, for example. This is why the initial ramp-up scares miners into thinking they're not getting/losing part of their payout. It's just because they're probably still in the first 100% of the 500% look-back period and don't understand that even if they were to stop mining right then and there that they will still continue to get that same 1/5 payout for however many more blocks the pool finds over the next 400% (e.g. Four (4) more blocks = the remaining 4/5 of your reward).

Lastly, Kano is expecting to complete the accounting code and pay out dust by the end of this year. I'm sure the BTC is safe and sound until the time comes to pay it out. I wouldn't mine there if I didn't trust Kano.

PPLNS is a scam since mining is diminishing returns.   The value of your hash power is lower when you are leaving a PPLNS pool than when you joined.  An extreme example would be you started in 2013 and then left 5 years later, you would of probably gave up a few BTC ramping up and then get junk after you left.

Anyway, did he ever write that dust giving code now that they don't find any blocks?  He could say it is live now since no way to prove if it is or not running.
