Bitcoin's value is already increasing and growing slowly and if things continue it can easily surpass $4000 and $5000 which I think would be much better than a sudden jump of prices because that can be just a temporary increase and it may drop suddenly as well.

this rise is mostly about 8th of August and the activation of SegWit. and it will continue to be like that. price will stay up above $3000 unless another FUD camp starts up and tries hard to break the $3000 resistance and push it down for more cheap coins before the next rise but i think it is too soon for something like that though.

for now the charts look pretty solid, we are back on track as before all this drama about "split" and BIP###
the $3200 is also showing a powerful support.

i dare say we can expect near $4000 by the end of this year too.

The recent price increase and reaching a new ATH would be an indicator that Bitcoin's price will go up again when Segwit gets locked in that day. Though it is not that certain but I believe that it is highly probable. I think we will see Bitcoin to reach the 3500 dollar mark. Let us just hope that Segwit will be as smooth as it can be in order to avoid anything unnecessary.

The current rate of growth of BTC seems perfectly ideal and it should continue in its path towards the 4k mark. With BCH not upholding as expected, there is nothing in the way of BTC and you can expect it to skyrocket in the coming days.

Probably there is gonna be a new big pump on the 8th, looking at the charts it will go to $3,5K and if things looks good it could probably break the resistance at $3,7k.
By the way, this has been a perfect year for bitcoin   from $800 to $3,3k. atm it has reached more than 350% since the beggining of this year.
Big whales are expecting more than $5k at the end of the year, so this is the best time to buy bitcoins before it is gonna be pumped again.

Since Segwit is going to get locked in on that day i would expect something similar to what is happening right now. If everything goes according to the plan a lot of people's doubts are going to be lifted and since bitcoin is actually going to be improved then there are going to be a lot of pumping.

How high it will go, i'm not sure. Probably at least $3500 though.

From now i think it is pretty much guaranteed that this event is going to run smoothly just like the 1st August event. There is nothing that is indicating that Segwit won't get locked in or anything like that. So yeah, i'd say prepare for another round of pumps very very soon, probably in 5 days or so but could be sooner.

Great time to buy still, if you think about it. Could easily be a quick $200 flip or so.

That is right. I think the market already priced in the lock in. So there was the price increase recently.

It's likely that it has been priced in during the last few days with the price rising so much.

I wouldn't mind another surge that's for sure, but usually the price rises before the actual event.

I expect a continuus updrive of bitcoin. The 8th of August will probably fasten the updrive once more. But I also think, that altcoins will take profit from Bitcoin's success and follow the upcourve.

price is currently on a good rise, despite now being a little bit more slow. but we can't expect a rise all day everyday. what I expect is a more smooth rise from here on out. the FUD has subsided and now we are on a better trend upwards. this can be the come back of good old days of slow solid rise with no shakeout of weak hands on big scale.

Completely agree. Big sudden pumps always scare users and look a bit suspicious too. Slow but continuous and steady rise looks much better. The situation looks very good now and I beleive that the door for bitcoin to achieve 4000$ by the end of the year are wide open we just have to be patient.

I doubt that price will change a lot. We have seen the price rise is higher than 3300 dollars. Likely to be rolled back, then the price will rise to 3500 and then again back to 3300 dollars. It's the game of speculators.

Same here. I'm pretty sure the current price increase is already in anticipation of segwit, with possibly a minor bump on monday due to fresh fiat hitting exchanges. The day of segwit activation will probably see a slight dump, "buy on the rumour, sell on the news" and all that.

Me too, absolutely. No one needs another bulb, and $8,000 - $12,000 if it happens quickly would be a bulb which can burst big and painfully for many. We definitely don't need that. If Bitcoin more or less stabilizes around $3,500 in the months to come I'd be happy with that.

What is this all about again? Do you mean there are several changes again and again? That's too much for this month since others are still trying to move on last August 1st. This is a quite tough for bitcoin. I wish bitcoin has great pump soon because I'm having a big exam this month and the more in the next month. So please grant it soon.

I am not sure that price will pump because the main factor is that there will happen nothing than to lock segwit  and make the separate network at all .
But after 8 August there may be chance to make because the basic idea here to give security and platform .
Here even today no wallets are available to store the bcc coin offically , so after the launch there will be sudden increase in the price .
So 8 August will not specify anything in my opinion but after that date may be new turning point will came for fir the btc and bcc coin .
So here i think we should hold in some amount so that we can make some profit easily with small fluctuations because oricr is very small and it may be perfect timing for us .
