Here all about is understanding , if most of the people will think that btc and bcc is good option for the investment after or before 8 August then surely everyone will buy btc and also bch coin .
As here at 8 August bith of these two coins will work independently , so there may be chance of big pump because official launching and announcement about a particular coin always results into increase increase in the demand for that coin wallet .
So here no lack of possibilities , everyone is looking to see the perfect timing to buy .
Here i myself bought 7BCC coin with the hope that its price will increase because every coin in the cryptomarket ( except ripple ) have own official wallet , so there also be for this coin again .

The general trend is that once BTC goes up so do the other alts. I'm not entirely sure what specifically causes this phenomena but it seems to be a trend. It could be due to price changes in BTC positively affecting the price of the alts through the pre-existing buy orders... Whatever it is, it usually works that way.

Becouse people are speculating that is all : ) it is easier to pum small cap coin than BTC.
Some new money like 10% of them are nicely pumping existing alts but when price  drops if you hold alts you are getting rekt harder.
1 you lose BTC vale
2 you lose alt value
to finaly you lose 2x more
this market is like playing on high leverage exchange.
I belive that most alts have its peaks behind to BTC.
Now with segwit we should see nice $$$ flow to BTC from altcoins but there is 2x part of that and we will see how it will be playerd around.

I'm expecting the pump too but I'm not very fond of it right now. There will be pump for sure after we have got experience from the hard fork that we had. But let's not get very much excited about it and put money on to it. This is the period where we should be staying normal as always we have been. I'm just gonna keep  what I have on my wallet and add no more coins on to it. I would be really happy about it. That would be profit too.

Just braced for another ATH after this date. It can reached more than $3500-$4000. Once the lock-in threshold is reach. It will definitely pump again in Aug 1. I'm not really sure about altcoin though, but bitcoin for sure will rise.

Not that fast mate. Maybe we can see this price in the coming months or even in the end of the year. We all love to see that price you predict that we need to be patience and hope that everything and no bumps along the way.

As what many others expecting to this date, 8000$ is possible but 10,000$ this year I think is not realistic to be happen.

Haha but I think in next few days the price of Bitcoin still increasing and breakout more target, I will sell my Bitcoin and buying altcoin or Bitcoin Cash, because high price always not safe than altcoin still cheap but potential or the community cryptocurrency not interested it after dump to lowest price as Stellar, Bitcoin Cash, LBRY in history.

I do not expect some serious change, like it was on the 1st of August - in the exactly day the price stayed the same and moved forward only after couple days. So, I expect to see something similar on 8th of August.

The segwit is very important to get activated for the sake of fast network operation. This is very important to correct the blockchain problems. Once the segwit is locked for sure it will correct it and make the network problems solved leading to faster performance. So yes this will again give the pump to current bitcoin price.
