I'm working on a BitGem pool. If anyone is interested in helping me test it out before launch go check it out. http://swmining.mine.nu/btg

I have been a fan of your pools and would love to help throw some hash at it The site seems down now. I will check it periodicly Mobgod. I will look into the wallet problem. Ill see if any other linux users have it working

Can anyone help explain the block rewards a bit? Sometimes they're 3, sometimes they're .2.
Thanks!

Everything is working fine now and we seem to be finding blocks. Thank you very much

Thanks!
The block reward is halved every 16x the network difficulty. So the block reward right now is down to .27 it appears and is still adjusting. It has not be 3 BTG for quite some time now

Ah okay. For some reason it was displaying 3 BTG block rewards on swmine which showed I'd make ~40 gems a day. Then an hour later down to .2. So it's corrected itself.
Thanks!

The links for the gemwallet download doesn't work. is this coin alive?
if yes. what is the current interest rate since this is a POW/POS coin? Is it the same formula like NovaCoin?

Well, he did find 6 blocks in a row in a very short time.
The hash rate calculation is a bit rough atm though because of VARDIFF I'll see about tweaking it.

Also, it seems like the confirmations are coming very slowly. Is that normal for BitGem ?

One of his miners is getting a lot of rejected shares very quickly and that is confusing VARDIFF into cranking up his share difficulty to insane levels where he continues to get lots of rejected shares causing his hash rate calculation to skyrocket. This is why he has the highest hash but the lowest payout. The PPLNS payout logic isn't confused by this situation. 1. Rejected shares shouldn't be counted in the hashrate calculations, I will fix this. 2. VARDIFF's re-targeting similarly needs to be modified to exclude rejected shares.
