Exceptional, the ultimate classic!

Downloaded this wallet:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9-QvC1XNoslUUpDZUk0U1EwM0E/edit

Got the Windows wallet working, 19 nodes.  Cool Pretty alive

First it didn't sync and then I manually added a BitGem.conf file to

"c:/users/user/appdata/roaming/BitGem/"

(and don't forget to make the appdata map visible if it's still hidden - screen/tab *hidden items)

The 'BitGem.conf' file:
Code:
listen=1
server=1
rpcuser=typeusernamenvh894344
rpcpassword=variouspasswordhg34hg893h
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=8348

The current block explorer gives a very limited view.

More folks who would like to see that updated?

Especially the rich list seems missing...

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btg/address.dws?30.htm

To analyze some POS (proof-of-stake) statistics:

One of the largest BITGEM wallets is currently holding around 2200 BTG

With a BTG price (current value) of $5.72 it's worth $12.584

His staking rewards (POS)

The 27th November - 8.2 BTG
$46.90 a day

The 26th November- 10.4 BTG
$59.49 a day

The 25th November- 13.2 BTG
$75.50

The 24th November - 13.7 BTG
$78.36

Average $64.99 per day

Annually POS reward $23.721

188% POS reward, roughly estimated

The POS rewards seem to go down a bit, probably because more investors found out...

But what a gem this is!  Shocked

Everybody on the network seems to be using the same version, so it might be necessary to look through the code to figure out proof of stake details unless Mineral reappears, which would be good since crypto is starting to pick up.

This was traded on Cryptsy originally and one of the devs there supported the coin, so it's possible Vern took a wallet to China and is using it to buy Prada and Gucci for his girlfriend there.

As for how much is made by staking, remember until the runup in btc this was a cheap coin except in its early days.

If you've encrypted your Bitgem wallet, you can't mine for coins solo.  You will need to unlock your wallet.

Follow the instructions below to unlock your wallet.

Windows

1.  Have bitgem-qt running .
2.  click Help / then click Debug Window /  then click Console
3.  paste text below into area at the bottom

walletpassphrase yourpassphrase 10000 true       (enter your wallet password where it says yourpassphrase)

4.  Press enter

*note:  the 10000 in the line above represents the amount of seconds you want your wallet unlocked.

hope this helps

You should now see the 'lock' icon in the bottom of the qt program look 'unlocked'.  The warning about the wallet being locked will still be present until you start mining.

Mine away!

Mine away!
I had already done, but for 6000, ( walletpassphrase<passphrase><6000>,thinking that they are minutes, but they are seconds.
So to make stakes, we have to have 1m seconds?
What do you mean by "Mine away!"?
Thanks!

I bought 0.6 Bitgem instead of Bitcoin gold by a mistake. I came here and saw the last post and sent all 0.6 to you.
