Just dropped required confirmations on http://btg.pnwminer.com to 150. Also fees are only 1.75%. Happy mining!

ShadowofScales: Just curious why you need a full 1 BTG to have a functioning wallet? I have not looked at the Windows wallet in a while, but do you need 1 BTG for it to work?

Nice, CaptainAK, it seems a good way to encourage BTG mining, but you should take a look at the confirmations over time.

Regarding the limit of 1 BTG, it was intended as a way to encourage the BTG Wallet at the beginning  Grin.

Leaving this aside, what a price rise !  Shocked  Cheesy

You guys got listed on coinmarket cap then blew it by having a dead block explorer. Again.
Don't have Gliss go through the effort to add you to the list and then have your explorer go down.

Unless the block explorer can stay up no one will buy this coin.

It seems there are some problem with last BTG blockexplorer. I have contacted with owner while I am trying to deploy another one, be patient. By the way, Cryptsy exchange and wallets are working fine, no reason to worry.

OK.. So I have setup a block explorer that will be (more or less) permanent.  It is at http://btgexp.pnwminer.com:2750.  As time goes on I may move it different hardware, but as long as I am running a pool, I will keep it up and going.

Nice! Thanks very much, CaptainAK.

A second blockexplorer is greatly necessary too. I am going to add it to OP info.

Very nice coin! Just had a good read and am surprised i have not heard of BitGem before.
This has its own colored coin system right? Active devs and a growing community?

I'm buying 1/100th of this market no problem!

Darkcoin, the only fungible crypto currency.

BitGem is an relatively "old" crypto. So, I coded the 'Simple 4C Model' and the 'GemWallet', allowing conversions between gems with all settings considered in the 'Simple 4C Model'.

Colored gems is a feature that is being developed currently.

Some implications of gems, like granularity (sticky transactions) or colored gems could be interesting properties for including into blockchain. The next step is intended to enable sending gems directly.

Yes, go ahead with it! Cheesy

This is a bit embarrassing, but I think my pool isn't getting confirmed blocks like it should.  Over the past few days, cgminer reports a maximum difficulty found of ~788k.  Current network difficulty (as cgminer would display it) is only ~176k, so my pool should've gotten at least one block.  It's not gotten any. :-(

I'm thinking that mmcfe-ng and the most recent update to bitgemd might not be playing nicely with each other.  It looks like mmcfe-ng has been superseded by MPOS, so I'm going to look into getting that up and running.

I've switched the pool to maintenance mode. The blockchain explorer and wallet generator remain operational.

Hi, salfter in my opinion, the simplest explanation is that the difficulty has risen to 2.7, about 176k as you say. CaptainAK pool is about 20 Mhs and is not solving all the blocks, so there is large rigs mining. Thus, the pool should have a comparable hash power to dispute the blocks to the another pool and large solo mining rigs.

Regards

I dont know about  these coins exacty, but they seem after BitGem and not related.

BitGem is previous to all of them, and it is in short a Novacoin fork currently implementing a 'Simple 4C Model' and a 'GemWallet' providing a gem converter. Colored Coins Bitgems (Diamond, Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire) were defined in intial stage, previous projects you said,  and is under ongoing development.

About older pools, I cleaned up broken links in first post, some were broken, and I guess you will have to contact the owners.

Hi, thanks for your interest.

Over time, BitGem  Project has had several partners who have participated in more or less active way.

The project maintains a master branch and another experimental branch, called sapphire, which is contributed privately, and contains the developments currently being tested, mainly BitGemWallet.

Other development, like Simple 4C Model, is already merged into master branch. You can see it in commits: https://github.com/bitgem/bitgem/commits/master

Developers like SunnyKing they assisted in project specific points, especially with regard PoS. Other devs like Franko dev also made contributions for improvement. In addition, other BTG holders with excellent tech background have actively contributed in BitGem, either detecting bugs or suggesting improvements.

About a possible Roadmap, I am planning to release a version in a couple of weeks with the possibility of shipping gems directly.

Interesting idea for a coin?

Hmmm…never seen anything like this before.  -check

Brand or meme?

Best possible - "bit-"  - check

Official support?

Hmmm…association with Franko and S.K.  -Check

Dev present?

For quite some time.  Old coin under development that hasn't 'blown up' yet.  -check

Current interest?

Market cap approaching 100k.  Indication of mass speculative interest as well as stable base to build upon.  -check

This one is a no-brainer.  I'm in.

I switched a 6870 (good for about 280 kH/s) over to solo mining as a test.  Since yesterday, it's found two blocks.

Upon digging into the logs a bit further, it looks like it's mmcfe-ng that's gotten stuck.  bitgemd and the stratum server are both working.  I've found where new blocks are logged by the stratum server, and I've looked them up in the block explorer and confirmed that mining is still working.  Most likely it's something going weird with mmcfe-ng's update scripts.
