I think 100,000 is possible within the next few years if there are more financial crisis's like Venezuela and people are more or less forced to turn to Bitcoin to secure their wealth. Otherwise, I think 10,000 within a few years is more realistic.

That is really impossible, we are not even reaching the price half of 10K this year, and don't assume that we will be reaching the ten times more. I think we just need to enjoy the price this month, who knows, it may pump more in the other month. Who told that bitcoin is not reaching $5000 this year ? You got any solid proof for that ? Anything may happen with any commodity and hence for bitcoin prices too. You cannot say without any analysis. In last few days, prices raised almost more than ~$700 which is approximately 25% growth. By considering this level of rate of growth, we can expect $10,000 by end of this year. |

There should be an established consideration to raise the price of bitcoin to $100k unlikely that the near future will reach that price.
Maybe 4 decades this new will be able to reach the peak of glory if now I think is still not right to achieve that price.

I think it will not going to $100,000 for now. It takes time to reach at this price, yes I think it will going up to $5000 to $10,000 this year. So by then many traders will earn huge profit. |

Do you recognize that BTC will not be a good currency as long as it grows in fiat value thatmuch each year? No one with a sane mind spends this 'currency' today, when it is worth 10 percent more next month and at least double next year.
The Japanese economy had/still has the same problem with the deflationary environment.
So I see BTC not as a currency, but as digital gold. And with that, high transaction fees are not really a concern. Once BTC is stable and fluctuating only +/- 3% around say 100k for a period of 2-3 years, then it will be a real currency.

Not now but maybe in 5-10 years we will reach 100.000$ per Bitcoin. in short term I would say it will reach something like $5000 and then it will decline a bit followed by a longer sidewards run before it attempts to new highs. But that's just my guess.  |

I am with the opinion that Bitcoin is far undervalued at this moment but I don't think that it should be at anywhere near $100,000 because there is no user base of that level so even if the price reaches that level, it will be artificial rise and that won't lasts long unlike the current scenario where $3K price is floating due to the demand in the users (I am no denying the role of institutional investors). Thus, believe the price should increase in the ratio of the growth in the user base to avoid artificial manipulation in the price. $100,000 in next 5 years seems a realistic goal.

This is so huge sum, I don't think we will ever see that. Not even in 5 or 10 years like some here are saying. And it's so funny like every time when the price is rising people dream about unbeliveable values of bitcoin and when the price goes down then are black predictions about bitcoin going back to 100$. Neither of this is realistic, let's face it.

Everyone is speculating here and so am I. The price will definitely reach 100k$ one day but so soon. Right now the target is 5k$ and then to 10k$ but lots of hurdles in between. If tech giant companies and countries start accepting BTC then it will be a great boost for it.

You'll see my friends My friend,i think you are too optimistic.It is not a non achievable price by bitcoin but it would take around 5 to 10 years to reach that price.It may happen when most of the countries legalize bitcoin and mass adoption of bitcoins takes place all over the world.So with only limited supply and increasing demand,bitcoin price would reach such high peaks by that time.Bitcoin definitely deserve such a high price. |

Have you watched any Indian movies recently?  because there are some of them which the main character is a young little boy but after 200 people jump on him either to gang bang him or just beat the hell out of him, suddenly a large and strong man comes out of the crowd by throwing every 200 men around him on the ground and then walks on their bodies to grab the hands of a beautiful young girl just to dance and probably tapping her after dancing If we're living in such movies then I think even $10M is not so surprising to see in the next few minutes |

some people are too optimistic even they are forget about the whale player, hacking event, PnD and other things. If they're dreaming about Bitcoin high price in the future why they dont dream as high as 1M/BTC, or even 1B/BTC in 5-10 years, not just $100,000/BTC. This December shall be no more than $5,500 , $4000 is very possible. |

Could be possible! I think as soon as the generation that grew up with bitcoin already in existence is older we will see a huge increase on general use of bitcoin and obviously its price as well.
The best you can do right now is to accumulate as much bitcoin as you can because there is not doubt that it will increase at some point.

I hope OP is right. I don't think $100,000 will happen in the near future, but I can imagine $5,000 easily. I'm hopeful, but I want to keep things realistic too.

It's not now but maybe years or decades from now. I think in the first year of bitcoin when the price is just a few dollars, they will target an amount of a thousand dollars which seems too good to be true but now in all time high of $3,000+ so we cannot really predict what the future will be. I hope someday it will reach that amount because many are also positive about it.

Yes it will happen. As the current situation looks like BTC us surging in price, at beginning of this year BTC had just crossed the $1000 barrier to attain it's ATH and now as we can see just over after half a year it has attained a new ATH and isn't stopping. Being realistic, 100k isn't happening this year or next year or even after that, it will take some time.
