https://www.xbtce.com

Anyone try this site before? is that legal? How do you feel about this site?
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I would be wary of them for now. They are closely affiliated with BTC-e. They did BTC-e's verification services (apparently among other things), and BTC-e was their liquidity provider. They also called them a partner and advertised them on their site.

People have speculated for a long time that their ownership is related. Given that the FBI is after BTC-e's owners, I would be careful dealing with this exchange. Don't risk much.

I do not use untrusted services. To me it is better to pay 1% more expensive but are a reliable service for storing and sharing than in the pursuit of imaginary profits to lose everything.
