I been sort of a enthusiast and involved in crypto since 2013 I think. I haven't been that active until last month when I really put tons of hours reading and catching up.
I have talked so much about crypto with family members that they ask me to save some funds for them in crypto and I believe BTC is the safest bet. I got some at 2700 but the price is going up like crazy, usually there is a correction but it seems BTC has a rocket in its behind
My question is for long term is it better to wait or is the price going to keep rising. Maybe we have a new bottom?
I know it's speculation but curious what people are thinking.

it is impossible to tell with bitcoin. i don't know how DannyHamilton is 100% sure but what i say is that there is a pretty good chance that in long term price will keep on rising. it is a very simple supply and demand relationship and because the supply is limited and fixed and at the same time the demand is rising, price will rise.

but you know, bitcoin is still a new technology. it is even still in beta! and the market is too small and too volatile. which is why i say a "pretty good chance" instead of being 100% sure.

Its good to have the mindset of continue increase in the price of bitcoin but at the same time you need to increase your learning ability to develop thick skin on what is coming up next because its not going to be like this all the time since the crypto-world is faced with several difficulties at any point in time. Also, I want to enjoin you to not be moved by the skyrocket price thereby moving funds you cannot afford to lose into crpto thinking thats how its going to continue or that you want to make multiplying effect of your investment within a short period of time.

There is a tremendous scope for the growth in next 10 years, even if we are considering the market of fiat users who are using fiat currencies to remit funds using digital wallets, the expected price of Bitcoin would be much more than what you mentioned. I believe that Bitcoin is far undervalued at this moment but it's not worth $1,000,000 now. However, I believe that in the coming decade, we are going to experience exponential growth in the price and user base of Bitcoin.

Maybe yes, its possible in 2020+ and it might reach into 1m$. I hope that this year, the value of bitcoin must go up since the supply is going fewer. Bitcoin is the best and it has the potential to replace the national currency. There is a very good chance for it to be 1m$

We're gonna be dancing with cash if the price go as high as that, well it is possible but we need some large market cap, everyone must use this currency and every country or some big countries must legalize it's usage. Well I'm considering Bitcoin as my investment that's why I'm putting myself into work in order to have as many btc I can. This mark is a sign that a bigwave is coming and those who is building the ark is the one who will succeed in the end.

I would definitely start putting some Bitcoins into paper wallets that you could just store away safely and forget about for a couple of years.
Maybe fund it once in a while with leftover change from your active wallets.

Doesn't matter that the price is high now and it doesn't matter if the price goes down again after this.

It is better to hold bitcoin it always gets pumped and dumped, but also it increases year by year. You can check the charts, ofcourse at the moment it is more violaite, because more people have invested in it, but still the tottal market cap is too small at the moment and bitcoin has a potential of growing.

the bitcoin era is such an amazing event in our life. Its good right now because the bitcoin value is rising again after the fork . Theres a pretty chance that the price will come up again by the end of the year and that is possible because i think more investor and more people will believe in the power of bitcoin

To be honest i'm not even considering the one million dollar goal. Even at 10k is a huge gain.
I'm aware of the 21milj cap and the fact that so many people don't even know about BTC. So the market can and will grow for sure steadily. I have made many mistakes at the beginning where I was impulsive but I know better now that no matter what you don't sell when the market crashes!
About the whales, sure there are many but at the same time it the demand is there it will be picked up by people. I mean if I see a drop to 1800 I will but not sell. In that regard whales will just lose as I see it. It really feels like BTC is gold 2.0 of our era.
I also hold a little ETH, XEM, NEO, LTC and few others to spread the risk but still i believe BTC is king 😃
Maybe I'm too optimistic?

Yes right now Bitcoin is not so well known with other people that are not into money right now and I think if all that people would simply know something about this things that can surely make them money they will not hesitate to grab that opportunity and that if all people would certainly have a knowledge about bitcoin I think that the market cap would grow.

It's really hard to speculate if this steam will continue long term. However, you said that you have already the money, then I guess instead of waiting for the price to go low, why not get it right now? You may missed opportunity to profit if you just keep on waiting for a correction. And once you buy it, just store it in your wallet see it grows. And maybe down the road we can see like $4000-$10000 and that is easy profit for you. And then continue to buy a small portion if you can and you wouldn't notice that you already accumulate more overtime. But you need to have a lot patience and not sell them if you see the price increases. Just hold on it and the rewards for it will be very fulfilling trust me.   Goodluck to you.

I think a lot of people were shocked about 3 or 4 months ago
when Bitcoin just edged over $3000, since last week it has
seen new activity and seems to be very happy to be close
to $3500. I certainly think Bitcoin is "THE ONE" for the future.
It just seems to find new highs and higher lows after a little correction.
