I would think right now that all these new users and miners do not have a clue what to mine right now with a new coin every week.

Would now not be the time for a cool off period or is spreading the mining rashrate around random coins every weeks what people want?

I am all for innovation but not of saturation.

Agreed, we've got a good new coin anyways: Worldcoin

No need for any more coins, and any launching now are guaranteed failures.

not likely. these alt coins are going to start pumping out even faster now.
And like the bit potatoes, people will start to get weary of them until they aren't worth anything anymore.

But the few worthwile coins in the pipeline will still rise above the fray.

Yes, such a good coin. 15 second block time that leads to tons of orphans, forking issues, and blockchain bloat. Cheesy

Tomorrow the kids will have found another altcoin to hype.

That would be great, but the pump n' dumpers, combined with the l33t g@m3rz crowd that have (pipe) dreams of riches beyond compare, are going to keep this gravy train running 'til the wheels fall off. Then they'll just glue them back on and start up again.

Did I help you today, or just like my style? Toss a couple coins my direction!

No new coins today?

Think it's best to just ignore the [ann] for last minute coin drops with clearly no thought or design.  Once it's out that folks won't waste hashing power on a simple clone with no forethought crapcoins should start decreasing.  Problem is most people including me wants to jump in and grab some low difficulty bonus coins and then jump out with hopes of being able to dump the coins later.

Agree we need a cool off period, unsure it will happen anytime soon.
