I'm not new to Bitcoin I've been using it since 2015 as a wallet since it has no limitations.
After the new record of BTC price I'm really confused, It increased about $1k in less than 1 month which seems suspicious.
I'm thinking of investing some money on BTC and hold them for at least 3 years or more.
But is it a good idea? have any of you made good profit with holding BTC?
Like tell me what do you think of the future of BTC rates, how high could it reach?

Holding bitcoin for 3 years or more is so long actually and we never know what will happen to bitcoin even on next year. The current price of bitcoin is 3.710,54 USD right now (based on bitstamp) and i'm sure it will going down soon, my advice is it's better to wait and hold your money until the price going down to $3,000 at least.

bitcoin will rise in long term as it has always did. When i first met btc it was around $15 dollars each, then i stopped because i thought the same as you, that bitcoin was going to go down because it is impossible and the price is a bubble.
I started trading again at the end of 2016 , when bitcoin was $800.
Right now bitcoin is at $3720, when will it be dumped again sir?

Using bitcoin is a nice idea for the last years. I’m not really a fan of using different things like this but I can say Bitcoin helped me a lot on being stable and having a secured profit. The price jump may be a bit of a shock but this can be a guarantee of a good service because a high investment can ensure good quality service in the long run. Actually, using bitcoin will help you to gain more income and I think if you invest in bitcoin few years I guess you could become a millionaire. After years , the Bitcoin price forecast is finally on an upward trek and beyond. In just five years, BTC rose from a few cents to over $1,000, which should give you some sense as to how much money early investors made , our Bitcoin price prediction 2017 shows that there is still more room to the upside

Your plan to investing some money on bitcoins and hold term for at least three years or more is good idea
because bitcoin's price will be hit at least $5000/BTC and it has chance to be more than $5000,
I made investment in bitcoins just for 0.5 BTC when its price around $1000/BTC, you can calculate how much i have got the profit now
also i have made couples hundreds bucks monthly from short investing in trading altcoins.

I'd have to agree with the general comment of "keep it up for the longer term"-- i don't think there's much argument at this point about whether it really has reached a critical mass. Seems like the dollar cost average approach is a really good idea though-- given the whole issue of volatility...

You should have invested in 2015. It was just 250 back then. You are asking that now, wait another two years and someone will tell you, you should have invested in 2017. There is nothing wrong with the current hike, it was just that free bch is converted to btc and pumped the price plus the effect of segwit.

The price has only risen by around 30 or or percent the couple of days which when you put it in perspective is actually not that much. Some shares rise that amount in a week and cryptos always rise/fall heavily. This is the effect of the people who are rich (whales) pumping it and making the price rise heavily before segwit2x.

I think rates could definitely reach above 5K in the future and with all this pumping, I wouldn’t be surprised with it reaching that at the end of the month. Would recommend buying some now, since it looks like Bitcoin is pumping up.
