Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

I do not understand why people say the launch was a success when it had a difficulty of 0 which adapted VERY SLOWLY.
Sure, the website and graphics design on this one looks great, and the fact that it was announced and actually launched at the announced time is nice, but that's the LEAST to expect when they want to make some money.

The Insta-Mine blocks were probably only found in areas where the most nodes were active during launch - the countries where most people lived that were awake during that time. And the "launchers" themselves.

I still think this was one of the nicer launches (given the shitty last few weeks) but people are blowing it out of proportion. It was insta-mined after all.

inb4 "your ass is sore because you missed the boat": was awake and started mining in minute one, got a few worldcoins.

Didn't you follow the feathercoin launch, same people who were saying it'll be the next great coin at launch went 180 when it dumped and said "Ugh, I knew this coin is shit!"

Yeah that's killed the hash rate, they were doing close to 40% of it.

It was launched at midnight on Europe, I think it was a good time at the beggining of the new day.
Where are you from?

The only thing I didn't like was the announcement time on EST time first, very confussing. Later they updated with GMT.

The worst enemy of Bitcoin is Mt.Gox exchange.
