Why sell now, don't like money?  You will not feel too smart when you realize you could wait a few days and he $3,000 more for it.

there can be a lot of reasons to sell!
for example it can be for needing money and having no other way of getting that money apart from liquidating some assets such as bitcoin. (I sadly had to do this a couple of days ago)
or it can be a risk management thing where you have 30BTC and want to take 2 out just to get ~$8400 and enjoy life and have an easier sleep at nights.

If you do have 30BTC then i would really do the same thing too getting out with some partial cashouted bitcoins would be still fine and as you said enjoy life and dont just purely hold on tight with bitcoins because anytime we wont know if price would go back again. As long we do have the money we can anytime buy out again for cheaper prices on bitcoin.

Some people may have a different opinion than you and it makes sense to follow your opinion instead others. Then who is right or who is wrong is another subject. Some may have taken a risk by buying some bitcoins sometime ago and if (let' say) they made a 20% profits it may be enough for them and they don't want to take a risk anymore (because they can't afford it or whatever)

We all have a different life, background, etc. It's difficult to be in the shoes of others people

There's still a good chance that the prices will go down in a few weeks or so and people may just need the money they have invested in Bitcoin back
I'm not selling at this point, but if I see another small down trend, I might sell a portion and buy some back when the prices go up again.

Keep your fiat around but hold the Bitcoin, unless your speculating then the real mission is avoiding the painful burn that happens whenever the market decides to rise or dip without people seeing it coming.

There is no reason why I feel anyone should not sell so far you can make peace with yourself and you are not greedy then you are good to go. I sold some last week and I didnt feel ashamed because as at the time I sold, I dont have any other choice than to sell, so many people can be in the same position rather than horading. Also, the reason why the price is going high is because demand is more than supply but if there is no supply at all, then in the next days, no one will be asking which return us back to the beginning.

I have 1 btc and I'm usually sold it 1/10 portion of my bits every bitcoin value increment $ 100
But I was amaze that bitcoin able reach this high unexpectedly so from now I'm better to hold it more longer

well holding is the best way to generate more profits the longer you can hold the higher gain will be earned just keep your eyes open and
for sure you will understand that even some downfall showed up bouncing back to much bigger value will still be possible in the long run.

I'm wondering the same thing but I think people are betting on the volatility and how once it dips a bit they can buy more? There was a tiny "crash" yesterday and I should have sold then bought right up but I missed the train.

I think it will grow higher aswell but since the price literally skyrocketed the last few days its hard to believe that this trend goes on forever up to 8000$ without a hard drop before. And once it goes down alot of people are going to panic-sell aswell because they just see the decrease in value and that's the point where im buying again.

Also people sell at any price as long as there is a demand for it. Maybe they need the money or they just did a one time investment into bitcoin and want to be done with it because they think its to risky. There can be lots of reasons. But you're right, if you're in for the long term then you shouldn't sell right now even if it goes down again.

SegWit opened a lot of doors and the bitcoin roadmap hold a lot of good things but I guess I'm correct when I say that your speculation is not backed by anything. We can either be realistic and say that the price is barely holding +4000$ at the moment with ups and downs or simply predict a random price increase within a few days like you did.

LOL.. In my opinion, those who are selling their coins right now are the most intelligent investors. I am saying this, because 99% of the Bitcoin holders will be reluctant to sell their coins now, because of the rising prices. But sooner or later there will be profit booking and a huge dump. These guys are intelligent and they are selling their coins before the dump.

Best to sell a little if you have a lot.  If you don't have much - only 1 or 2 BTC - then HODL for sure.

Someone can decide to sell his or her bitcoins because they believe that they are okay with the amount of profits that they have made so far, others  on the other hand believes in the notion that whatever goes up, eventually comes crashing down.Everyone has his or her own reason for selling at this juncture, but the prudent one's who wait and see it go further before they are okay. There is nothing wrong with making even much more money.

Started selling at $4200 and will continue to $5000. Then will buyback on the correction ($3500) after the SegWit activation dump. $8000... perhaps in a few years...

If you need fast money,you can sell it now,but we don't know what the highest price bitcoin will reach at the end of the month
I think it will reach $5000 and will stay till november or so,but in bitcoin world we dont know what would happen,just don't sell all your coin

If you need to sell you need to sell, there is still the chance of a drop at some point but I think now is the time to just hold on.
