BAH! I just got so close to hitting 9900x with 10ksat during Happy Hour! I could feel it in the air, so I tried it. Rolled a 99.99 and needed a 100.00

Check the very top bet, my heart started pounding even though I knew I lost.

Then 18mins later, got close, but still really far away, there is always tomorrow!:

I can sense the urgency now in pd3 lol.

Talk about timing esp when JD goes down.. lol.

Stunna's been way too busy. He posted earlier,"the race to finish PD3 is on". Still no PD3:(
If i remember good then he had some problems as someone has stollen the code and/or did not cooperate as he/they should so Stunna started looking into it himself also.

Yep, that would be Luckynumber.me: http://www.luckynumber.me

Interesting. You can definitely tell that the site borrows heavily from PrimeDice. So if what Stunna says is true and the code for PD3 was indeed stolen then I guess this is what the new PD3 will look like when it launches tomorrow?

Dear GOD/GODS and/or anyone else who can HELP ME (e.g. MEMBERS OF SUPER-INTELLIGENT ALIEN CIVILIZATIONS): The next time I wake up, please change my physical form to that of FINN MCMILLAN of SOUTH NEW BRIGHTON at 8 YEARS OLD and keep it that way FOREVER. I am so sick of this chubby Asian man body! Thank you! - CHAUL JHIN KIM (a.k.a. A DESPERATE SOUL) P.S. If anyone is reading this then please pray for me! [ www.chauljhin.com ]

If you still see a different background than the original, clear your cache and then refresh the page.

Yep. Quoting this so it's at top of the new page.

ctrl + shift + R should do it.

(If you are on mac, its cmd + shift+ R)

That's the way to get it done! Thanks Naht
Any clue why my withdrawal hasn't came through; it's been two hours... I emailed support.

Damn those two roles. I've seen '0' a number of times, but never 99.99 or 100.

So close.
Good luck for next time.

For the future runs, I think I'm going to set my lose streak bet to 25 reds.  25 reds in a row at a 1 satoshi bet with a 1.1 multiplier and 50/50 means you still need .6 BTC in the bank to negate a loss.  But seriously, 25 losses in a row?  That's gotta be impossible. ;-)

EDIT:  Now I'm curious on what the record for losses in a row is on PrimeDice.

I know you didn't ask, but you may find this interesting:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=610339.msg7060900#msg7060900

At Just-Dice, the longest winning streak at 49.5% was 30, and the longest losing streak was an incredible 32!

I see a couple of issues here:

1) When I look up the bets which rolled 99.9x it shows that you played <99.99 on one, not >99.99, but the other is right:

2) When I check the 99.99 roll, it appears that you did roll a little over 99.99:

$ ServerSeed=e296366069c1407477677
$ ClientSeed=4794012-0023
$ Secret=1a76f6acde8c9ef948e3070b785fe8ceb047f2e7f59f63f5f0d3ebefa7a82a1b54a499b7a6c7559d972f948f8b45ccf1966f8d26ad7180fe692740e4c1c913ea
$ python -c "print int('0x$(echo -n $Secret$ServerSeed$ClientSeed | sha512sum | cut -c1-8)', 16) / 42949672.95"
99.9921642477

The description of how the rolls are generated says:

Quote
You will then need to divide by 42949672.95 [Which is ((2^32-1)/100] in
order to get a 0-100 base 10 numeric value. This value will have been the roll.

That's what I did, and I got 99.99216 - isn't that over 99.99?

The code example on the page shows the value being rounded:

Quote
$dice = round(hexdec($value)/42949672.95,2);

That seems to mean that rolls from 99.985 to 99.9949999 will get rounded to 99.99, and only rolls of 99.995 and over will get rounded to 100.

It seems to me as if your chance of winning ">99.99" are actually 1 in 20,000 (0.005%) and so the 9,900x payout represents a massive house edge of 50.5%.

The same would apply for the "<0.01" game too I think.

Other low-chance bets will similarly have larger than advertised house edges. To win >99.98, you need to generate a number of 99.985 or higher so that round() takes it to 99.99 or higher. That's a 0.015% chance, and pays 4950x, for a house edge of 25.75%

I guess all this is about to change with the launch of PD3 anyway.

Thanks Dooglus for the info.

I posted this first in chat (https://imgur.com/VJQiA8b) because I forgot how to link bet Id's. Not sure if there is a way to find the time posted it on imgur, but it must of been within a minute of the time the bet went through. When I linked the bet id, someone in chat did say that it did show that my bet was for less than 99.99, but I was rollin the 9900x for a while.

Now, this is interesting, when you verify the bet on PD (https://primedice.com/bet.php?id=769768161), it shows that I bet 0, the game is <99.99, and the multiplier is 0.99009900990099. Even right now, if I put my bet id or any I am making right now into that site, not clicking the link in bet history, every bet shows my bet is 0, even though I just used the max amount of the faucet to bet, try it.

I just looked on PD and tested if I could even make a bet for <99.99, I can't. The biggest win chance I could enter with the bet going through would be a 98.00% win chance with a 1.0102x payout, and a roll <98 with a multiplier of 1.0102040816327 (https://primedice.com/bet.php?id=772491000). So what exactly happened that my bet got messed with like that? Maybe it was because like you pointed out, I actually did roll over a 99.99, but the rounding function messed with it.

I will contact support tonight, or possibly we will hear something on here.

Thanks again Dooglus. Hope life isn't as stressful anymore since you took down JD, really enjoyed my short amount of time over there.

Wouldn't a roll of 99.99216 round down to 99.99 rather than up to 100.00?

Well, it does round down since PD calculates win based on only xx.xx. However, since they said it must be over 99.99000, the number when calculated was more than 99.99 therefore it should have been a win.
