There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Morning all. Any news on the MN upgrades/PoSv3 move?

We are concentrating on multiple projects and wallets at this time.
Win32
Mac
Some other coding projects and upgrading KORE and either fixing PoS
or porting it in new or to a different more stable PoS is being considered.

28% at 220 Masternodes.
Nice increase and we have at least 10 more Masternodes that are not showing on this site.

Hi ,
I was about to transfer my coins from my temporary windows wallet to my linux wallet to set up my masternode but then all my coins dissapeared...?!?
I think they started staking while I had my wallet open setting up my linux wallet. When I looked back to send them they were gone. Is is possible to just transfer my wallet.dat file to my linux wallet to get them back? Or should I redownload a new windows wallet and send the coins? Thank you for your time.

Hello, how you doing?,

If you run this command on CMD your coins will show up again

kore-qt -zapwallettxes -reindex

Alternatively you can load your wallet.dat on your Linux wallet and it will also show your coins as it syncs the blockchain.

If you need further assistance please go to the Discord help im online there and can help if you need.

Here is the link for the Kore Discord Channel: https://discordapp.com/invite/y8nzzju

Have a great day,

In discord you can request assistance, the team will not help with windows masternodes because of security issues, downtime issues, TOR issues and a myriad of other issues local to windows. We have not locked down the windows wallet to not allow masternodes to be run from them but we will not offer any form of support whatsoever.

Guys tell me there is some way to run it on the PoS and that would the wallet worked stably?
I constantly have a situation that I'm synchronizing, he either immediately shows a minus my balance or gets one stacking and then shows a zero balance.

I want to receive a PoS and that the wallet worked constantly, he could not even work a day. If you leave the wallet on, it displays a zero balance and does not participate in the mining of the PoS

I have a lot of coins and the problem of zero balance has long been decided by all projects.

Most PoSv3 coins are having similar issues and we all are working on various fixes.
It is what it is for now and we understand what you are going through.
We all are going through the same thing.
Do your best to keep staking to support the KORE network till we find the fix.

I have a lot of coins with different PoSv3(PIVX, XSPEC,PHR,DMD,PNX,...) projects in 3 and all of them have already solved these problems. None of the projects known to me produces as often a mistake as you do.

I don't want to be "that guy" but they still have this issue, its not as common and there are a few reasons for that, one being difficulty, these coin's difficulty level is high, high as hell compared to KORE, the issue shows up when specific wallets with a lot of coin come online after a period offline, this forces the entire network into a zero difficulty mode during this time everyone thinks they have solved blocks on their stakes but when the wallet checks to confirm it found a block and sees that it didnt find the block, it then thinks it needs to wait for the stake to come back (which is correct) but it then "forgets" about those coins that went out to stake. this is an issue we are working on, we currently have four avenues for fixes open and whichever is completed and then passes inspection will be released.

Now as for the other coins, PIVX has this issue, in fact here is someone's post from just last month about it https://www.reddit.com/r/pivx/comments/7mw31y/my_pivx_coins_suddenly_disappeared/

The a few reasons why PIVX doesnt have this issue near as often is mainly because of the difficulty level as well as a stable network, part of our stability issue is because of the difficulty, but like i said, we have several avenues open to fix this issue.

MANDATORY KORE WALLET v0.12.4.0  UPDATE:

This includes masternodes...

For those that missed it there is a Wallet update to v0.12.4.0
Update your wallets ASAP.
This is a mandatory update.
This is just a slice of the number of wallets out there but shows there are many on the old 12.3.9 version.
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/kore/#!network

These wallets need to update.

                               1-11-2018 - v0.12.4.0

NOTE: The wallet still has the disappearing coins and reindexing
issues experienced by many PoSv3 coins at this current time.
For those not familiar with this issue just restart your wallet a few times
and the GUI will display the proper amount of coins in your wallet.
The KORE wallet update to version 0.12.4.0 includes:
Partial memory leak fixes, other mods and fixes.
Rather than remove the Bittrex trading window the wallet has been updated with
a check box toggle to "Enable Trading," found at the bottom of the page.
The wallet opens with the trading window disabled. Click to enable it.
Once finished with trades it is recommended to disable it.
The box to unlock for staking only is auto checked.
The staking icon remains on for a longer period of time when coins are sent out to stake.
Various links and spelling corrections.
Commented out a buggy non functioning wallet repair option.
Updated nodes list.
Added zapwallettxes to the kore.conf file.
Windows 32bit version.
Updated curl and dependency lists.
Increased outbound connections.
Increased the stake split threshold.
Lowered difficulty.
Updated ssl.
Various other bug fixes.

* IMPORTANT:
Delete your kore.conf file before loading or compiling your wallets
BUT: Save all your masternode setup data!
Here is a Masternode upgrade guide:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2096416.msg28364423#msg28364423
Thanks to Matrix!
 Smiley

                    WALLETS:

LINUX version above is completed and functional.

Make sure:
zapwallettxes=1
is in your local wallet conf file.

Mac OS:
Is currently being worked on.
We were holding off till the wallet was 100%
but under the circumstances, it will now be done.

FYI:
I found this method useful and time saving:
To keep from having to go through the constant reindexing I every few days
make a copy of the kore folder after a reindex and then test to make sure it starts properly.
Then once I have that I replace the kore folder whenever restarting the wallet to get the correct balance to show.
This saves much time and it allows for a 1 time restart of the wallet rather than two and you dont go through the reindexing.

Cheers!
MikeMike
