Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Fair call but I just found out I'll be staying on for a couple more weeks (I'm away with work). I was supposed to be done tomorrow. Bad timing all round but I only thought to ask after I'd posted here, I should have checked with the boss first  If necessary I can probably work something out, somehow, but I only have my phone and only then when I'm on wifi. I can access my box from here but it'd be a massive pain in the arse and I don't want to screw up while I'm away. If cancelling isn't an option that's for enough, this isn't your fault. So how is your stepmother doing? |
