Nexus mining isn't too bad, and their price has risen steadily in the last couple of months.

Crypto currency enthusiast and miner since 2015. Mined approx 200 ETH during 2016 and 2017 and sold it at approximately $US40 each. Then I watched it reach $1000+ each. If anyone bothers to read this stuff pay attention to this: HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL

I started mining with 1 AMD 7950 and 1 R9-280X. Then I gradually built my AMD operation into 12 R9-290s. Awesome ETH hash but ridiculous power consumption and heat. Over the last year I defected to the Nvidia team. I now use GTX 1070s. They were expensive to buy (probably a bargain now) but awesome hash rate vs. power consumption. blah blah blah blah

Xmr is good cpu coin,You should try to mine any new coin while it have low difficulty thats the best cpu mining strategy i have seen you can make really good profit if you mine a low difficulty coin and then it gain some interest

Is there was any vedio tutorial to setup xmr CPU mining? I tried to start CPU mining with other altcoin but every time I get error this device is not support .... Even I don't know anything about mining

gotta get a miner that's built for the instruction set of the processor;  My guess is you are miss-matching.....

Link to my batch and script resources here.

XMR has been known to be decent on Intel processor but since he's on the new AMD cpu I'm not 100% sure how good it will be. Definitely worth a shot and make sure to document your hashrate op.

I have 2x https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113437.  I have one running Wolfs cpu miner, and another running cpuminer-opt.  Both have highly volatile hashrates, but average around 95 H/s.

Note: this is while also simultaneously GPU mining ZEC with 4x 1070s; it would be higher if only CPU mining.

The Ryzen 1700X @ 4.0Ghz gets 610 H/s on the NiceHash calculator. My own testing gives me about 450 H/s while using the PC for simple web browsing and light tasks.  I would expect higher then 95 H/S if using 7-8 threads?

To the OP - use the NiceHash Miner GUI, it's basically plug and play and requires no prior knowledge of how to set up a CPU miner. If you want to branch out and try other options you can, but I'd suggest starting with something easy and worry free first. Smiley

I'm reading and reading all the replies here but my question is whether CPU mining is still profitable these days? I have read on the same forum CPU no longer can get you into bitcoin mining as it use to do back in 2009-10 period. The difficulty level is too high and though free electricity is there how it can be profitable as long as no blocks are resolved. The CPU power is too low i guess.

Hello,

I want to disappoint the OP as I can gaurantee that cpu mining is profitable if you mine for good coin. I want to list few coins which you can mine.

VRM coin
XMG Coin

both coins can be mined easily and have very low difficulty as these can only be mined with cpu. Ryzen 1700 gives 600H/s for cryptonite if you use correct miner. presently xmr stak is a good cryptonight miner.

In the end you need to choose what you want to mine.
