Fake is maybe the wrong word here.

My guess would be that the real question is: Which coins/blockchains are just started to rake in a sh*tton of money and then abandon? Which, as someone earlier in the thread said, is a daunting task to list. And subject to trolling.

As always: Research, research, research.

And make no mistake. Even sh_tcoins can make you money...

Actually indexing some kind of scam / non solid coins and projects into a thread could be a good idea, I've seen several posts for different types of crypto business but putitng all together into one post might help a lot of people. What do you think about it ?

I'd recommend reading up on each coin you're interested in. If you want to invest in a coin, do some research, like a simple google search, and go from there.

It seems like suspicions coins should be listed in this forum. However that would include like all of Yobit. I know that have had successful coins come out of them.

Just research and don't buy garbage. There is a lot of it. It's your job to get educated and know the difference.

I guess you can understand it only by your own research. IMHO any coin out of top-100 could easily be the fake one.

There's not a proper list. But you can considered a coin fake/dead if its rewarding system stops to operate or its wallet stops to sync permanently.
I've seen such coin are used for pump and dump in exchanges which are already dead.

It's not a list of fake coins but I think it would still be useful! https://etherscamdb.info/

Wouldn't call it a fake coin, but CRB has like 0 activity since August or something. Kind of worrying

I did not register a fake coin because I only chose a coin that was obvious.
