hi I know you have a lot of work on your head now but , can you please check the pm the Avalon controller board you send me works fine , the tplink router also works with no problem
My system(Avalon 1 batch ) still crashes so I need additional parts to split the modules to different cases so I`ll lose only half of the hash when the system crashes. Regards Thorvald

Assembling chips closeup: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdAibUZb1gQOverview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeUBonkT7AkI have 322 chips left to assemble in this batch, over 900 assembled. Unfortunately many of the first chips I assembled were not properly done (misaligned, wrong amount of flux, wrong temperature in the oven etc) and need rework. Constantly improving the process, now more or less all are properly assembled and soldered on the first shot...

I'm happy to report that I received my module from Strombom today.
I had sent him the chips (obtained from Zefir B1), and he turned them around in just one day and shipped me the finished module.
I touched it up a little (not all of the screws were fully threaded in), and installed it in my silver Batch 1 unit, along with a Corsair HX1050 power supply. The power and data cable were included with the module.
After changing MinerCount to 32, it's now happily hashing away at 105GHps or so.
Kudos to strombom for his rapid execution. The other 2 makers I sent chips to at the same time (for K16s) do not appear to be on the verge of shipping me finished miners.

Dang...well it was running good for a while, but now I don't think it's hashing all the time anymore. Maybe it cant handle the overclocking. Try to remove it and check if it has enough thermal paste covering all the board area under the chips. Also try to lower the frequency for a while and see if this is the problem. 355 MHz is more than I can run on my original Avalon.
If it's dead I will of course replace it.

I tried 300MHz and 256MHz, and even after a hard reboot (power supply switch off for 30 seconds), match_work_count29 always remains at 0 now. The rest of the boards seem unaffected and continue to hash at full speed. I don't see the high NMW count that I saw when it first failed.
I'm hoping I can figure out which board is number 29 (I guess number 5 on the module) and ship only that one back while I continue to run the others.
You don't happen to know which position it would be in on the module, do you?

It would be number 5, you can see the number on the back plane, I will send a new unit on monday.

Do you know the numbering scheme in the Avalon devices?

ProfMac: There are 4 modules with 8 units each. Module 1 has unit 1-8, module 2 has unit 9-16 etc, module 3 unit 17-24, module 4 unit 25-32. So module 29 would be the 5th unit in module 4 if I'm not mistaken? There is numbering on the silkscreen of the back planes, so it's easy to see.

Yes, and that is good. However, I have an Avalon. I just hoped that you might have comprehended the Avalon schematics during your travels.
