Hi.  I planning on making a project which is a trip wire like gadget but will trigger when something passes through a light sensor.   It will count how many times it was tripped.  I want to use arduino uno,  some LDR and an LCD.
Anyone with knowledge about this please comment if this is possible and what other materials Im going to need.
Thanks.

Amazon were doing an offer for sensors this summer I would think what you would need for your project would be included in that
