Of course not, mining bitcoins use android smartphone is something impossible even you use laptop, GPU miners to mine bitcoins you just can mine bitcoins use asic hardware here you can check out this link https://www.bitmain.com/ but although you use asic hardware doesn't mean it will be profitable because the difficulty of bitcoins is always increased day by day, make sure you have made calculating about the return of investment if you want invest in bitcoins hardware miners. Good luck

If u really want to mine u can try P2P mining, you dont need to invest huge amount of money.
On your phone or even on weak PC it ll be really slow or just not worth your time and all that effort  Sad

No your Android phone well die because mining takes time for example if you phone stands for only 4 hours of usage you will just earn a small amount. Also if you continue mining while charging your Cellphone good luck with that your cellphone might explode or go bye bye than your mining will just be put into waste so dont their to try it  or you might regret it in the future. Like what others have told you you need to invest in mining buying GPU and paying your electric bills with high rate on the peroid of 6 to 7 months.

Even if it was possible i wouldnt recommend it, ive used some alt coin miners on the smart phone and its puts some strain on it.

The heat of my phone after running mining for a smal period of time was crazy :/

Honestly it's possible, but you will earn pennies in months and end up shortening the lifetime of your phone with all the heat, plus the electricity cost. Selling the phone would net more profit.

It does not depend on the operating system you are running but what your hardware can deliver. Smartphone processors are very weak compared to what ASICs which can handle several hundreds or thousands of millions of hash/rehash at a second's rate.

It's possible, yes, but you will only destroy your phone in the process and selling your phone would be better.

I used to have a gridseed connected to mine but they do not deliver any recognizable results in terms of hashrate.

While technically not "mining" you could definitely setup a staking config on a phone, and here is a list of coins implementing PoS:

http://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/proof-of-stake-coins-list

It will still require you a bit of a configuration work and it would be preferable to do it with an Android. I also believe projects like RDD are planning to release dedicated mobile wallets in the future.

It is technically possible to mine using an Android smartphone, but it not worth it. The hardware is not powerful enough to earn something valuable, and it will reduce the life of your phone very much because of the heat and components stress.
If you really want to try it, you could install Minergate android app and see for yourself Wink

It's possible, but it is very slow and you won't earn much. I tried it once and it's not worth it. If you want to try you can download Minergate mobile miner to try. Your phone will be very hot though.

Technically you can mine with your phone, but even with the BEST hardware out there you'll be losing money as your phone will eventually crap out and you'll have to shell out $500+ again. Mining devices need to be properly configured/designed for specifically mining these days to keep up with the efficiency of other dedicated miners out there - Don't even bother looking into this, only way I could see it working even somewhat efficiently would be if you were to illegally spread some sort of malware that utilizes millions of phones all at once - Again, dont even bother. Mining rigs are FAR too efficient these days to try and compete with generic devices that were never even meant to process that sort of data on full load.

It's possible but what you will mine is really small though. The computing power of smartphone with an android OS will never be enough. If PC's takes 24 hours to mine some what do you expect to a downside version of that? Really makes you think.
