Plus not More that you can afford to loss.
I think this must be the measure to make investment as a newbie in any market. First you have to get all the required knowledge for the investing and the techniques one must have to not to be in loss. Then you only invest that amount in start that you can easily bear to loss. If you can afford a big to get profit and loss too, invest it.

You do it that’s good because it is you own opinion but I think there is no minimum amount of investing bitcoin. it all requires time, patience, hard work according to money you invest. The lower you invest higher will it demand for working hard making better strategy and more patience. I started investing  from 0.02 bitcoin when. And it took me a lot of time.

Its up to you big capital to invest in trading in trading. But you need to get a lot of information before you know buying and selling altcoin. Because doing research you can know what coin have potential. You need also give few hours in trading . You need alsp a patience . Other people start 0.01 bitcoin minimum but dont expect high profit because you can buy only altcoin with that price 1 to 3 altcoin.

If you're looking to make any sort of profit from cryptocurrency and you're just starting out, what do you think is the minimum starting investment you ought to put into it?

Yes, I know "you should only put in what you're willing to lose" but surely there should be a barest minimum, right?

EDIT: If you don't mind sharing, how much did you start with?
I think the best amount of money to start in trading is $500-$700. When I enter the world of trading, I invested $500 in different altcoins. I can say that I am lucky because all of the value of coin that I invested is increased very much. The outcome is I earned $1275 in the trading.

If you are new to trading I would suggest you start with a small amount (not more than 200-300$) and see if you manage to turn a profit in 1 month. If you managed to make some money, increase your portfolio next month, add some more money. Again, not much and see how it goes. Now, with this process you won't see serious gains for a while probably, but that doesn't matter, be patient. Your monthly gains will stack up with time.

The idea here is that you never commit any serious amount of money (thus lowering the risk of losing a ton of money) and have stable and constants gains each month. If you don't withdraw any money, after a year or two you should have some serious gain and you should be able to pay out what you invested and still have a nice amount left in the portfolio to keep trading.

Don't be greedy and think of quick gains, slow and easy over a long period of time can be extremely profitable while being much more risk free.

invest paling sedikit bisa dengan hanya 1$ tapi itu tidak menguntungkan sama sekali, jika anda ingin investasi bitcoin paling tidak membutuhkan $1000 agar merasakan keuntungan yang sangat banyak.

Setting up minimum investment based on affordable limit to lose must be right idea but in practical while trading there will be less chances to lose all our capital because on the occurrence of negative market moment, we will lose only some percentage of our capital not all our bankroll like what we are facing with gambling. So, the minimum investment does not need to be exact amount of what we can afford to lose, it can be double or triple the amount of what we can afford to lose.

After this, the minimum capital requirement could be set based on how much profit we we may expect. Usually when trader is setting up this limit, their greedy will come to play. But a limit for our profit levels should be set based on our skill levels.

I saw this thread and the word minimum comes up into my mind. So there's a minimum investment when we do trading?

That might depend on the exchange you are using. But normally any amount should work as long as it's not smaller than the cryptos smallest amount (for BTC that is 0.00000001).

I would prefer for a beginner just try like $5 and try to make it $10
If you get a hang of it try investing more

I use to inverse half of my salary. If the price of bitcoin reaches the moon means I will make it as full.I was use to inverse 500$ in the bitcoin every month. If I got Profit means.I use use to inverse my Profit in bitcoin. At last ,I will get 1000$ as a return of my money. Totally I got another half of my salary from bitcoin.

It will be impossible to invest let say $10 to $50 now because the fee on the network is more thsn $5 already. But you must make sure you have clear objective about your coin purchase. Don't join bandwagon.

Actually there is no minimum amount if you want to invest in crypto you have to make sure though that the bitcoin you will send is worth the fee you will be paying. $100-200 can be a good start and you can earn a lot with that if you will happen to buy a good coin.
Yeah I agree to you that $100-$200 is a good capital to invest and to start in trading. I invest $100 also but unfortunately I lose my money in trading because I make a bad decisions. Be careful to the trading world.

There is no minimum requirement. For investment take those money that you can effort to lose.If you are in beginner level then don't take much money for investment.first try to know about investment.I mean first is learning then is earning.investment is so risky, you can lose all of your money in few minutes or you can be a millionaire.

I am fully agreed with your opinion. No minimum required to start trading, but if you study before investment, you can earn a decent income with small investment but without study, you can loss even big amount.

Another option if you wanted to learn trading then you can follow the altcoin announcement section where new altcoins are giving so many bountys so just participate in them and receive the coins and when the coin get listed in exchange just trade and learn how to trade. In this way you are not risking any money or investment only time is invested but it will give you more knowledge about how the altcoin bounty work and how to earn them and how to trade this coins. This will make you professional trader and then you can invest and trade with less risk as you are now trained trader.

Lol! This figure is already very small and investment less than this won’t be investment any longer. I guess majority can afford this amount easily and there is nothing to earn this much amount. Indeed the choice of exchange also matters a lot. My minimum investments up till now are 0.000001 BTC.

Its depends on yourself. You have 1000$ you can invest 100$ .I think under 100$ its too small for invest and you get small profit.First time i am start 0.065 btc when 1 bitcoin = 1100$.You can also invest 10$-100$ and if you get profit this site you can invest more.Although you want to invest altcoin need 100$ + money. But You can also invest 10$ to understand what is crypto currency and how to make profitable.

there is no minimum limit to invest in bitcoin or altcoin. your profit or loss depends on the capital and market situation.
if you invest in altcoin trading I think $ 1000 is very appropriate to get a decent profit.

If i had to invest in cryptocurrency first time,i would  start with a minimum $10 and maximum $50 which i can afford to loose.
My hopes would be on winning profits and if i win, i will still not increase base deposits because it involves risk for newbies.
You can consult an expert trading advisor to avoid loss.
You could start your investment even if you have less money, because the thing in investments you do not specifically need to used your own money just to earn. First of all there is many source of Bitcoin out there that we could do for us to earn. And when the time we could earn we can technically start our own investments, trading or transaction that could give us an opportunity to earn more and to have a good profit.

For learn, I start with BTC0.01 just want to give it a shot.
But I've learned that small amount will give small profit, then increase to BTC0.05, trying to make 10-20% profit from trading bitcoin, small profit but still a good way to increase the number.
And now, I prefer to invest BTC0.35 on trading bitcoin and ethereum. Sell at the peak and prepare to buy back whenever dip occurs.
