I use wallet 1.0.0.0g.  Do I have to make a backup of my wallet, uninstall it, download the new wallet and move my wallet backup to the new folder?

Its always a smart idea to backup your wallet.dat.

I updated it the following way on Windows
1) Made a backup out of the running wallet using the build in "backup" option
2) Closed the wallet and made a backup of %APPDATA%/altcommunitycoin
3) Deleted the old .exe
4) Downloaded the new .exe
5) Started it and verified that it display the correct version.

On Ubuntu with QT:
1) Made a backup out of the running wallet using the build in "backup" option
2) Closed the wallet and made a backup of ~/.altcommunitycoin
3) Deleted the old
4) Downloaded the new file
5) Started it and verified that it display the correct version.

On Ubuntu headless:
1) Copied the running wallet.dat to wallet.save (I always have a bad feeling copy a running file)
2) Closed the wallet and made a backup of ~/.altcommunitycoin
3) Deleted the old folder
4) Cloned the newest git from github
5) Compiled it
6) Started it and verified that it display the correct version.

Can not find any information regarding the total supply. Is it 100,000? Or are there only 100,000 premined tokens at the beginning and it rise day by day due to staking? Would be happy to receive any information about the circulating and the total supply by the dev.

The total supply is not set yet, so its infinity at this moment. As far as I know they don´t stake the premine.

Informations about circulating coins can be found at: http://altcom.blockstats.pw/

It is also goot to export your private keys and maybe print it or store if something gets wrong with your computer and you have no backup  Wink

Be patient. During previous airdrop the devs transferred the coins during the next day, so they should arrive soon.

Does wallet 5.5.1 count for the 1440 update? And what does it even do? higher block rewards?

You need either version 1.1.0 or 1.1.0.1

Please download it from here:
https://github.com/altcommunitycoin/altcommunitycoin-skunk/releases

The 1440 update means, that the required confirmations for staking increases to 1440 (was 300).

Therefore, more PoW blocks are generated and you get more coins mining

250 people in just 3 min and 50 sec!!

That's great guys!

Remember, you get 0.49% stake every day.

So I would recommend getting more from the exchanges if you want to make some money staking.

Payouts start tomorrow as usual.

 Airdrop CLOSED

Hope I can join the 10th airdrop. I failed to join the 9th because it ended very quickly even though it has more number of participants than the last airdrop. 4 minutes had already passed when I got to the site and it was already closed. This just means that more and more are getting to know AltCom which is good for our community.

You have to be quick, but 4 minutes is not that fast, you should be able to join. But if there are many newcomers, it could be faster than that.
