Malware alerts are common on wallets. Antivirus software sees that there's anything related to cryptocurrencies and throws an alert because there is a lot of real malware that masquerades as something else, but includes mining code or other stuff to hurt computers. *Generally* wallets are safe, but it's always good to check the Github source or (at least) wait a few days after a new coin is announced to let others tread those waters
