Still waiting for mod reply. It's public that my acc was stolen and sold, and I still can't get it back?
it seems mods dont give a f*** about that, just forget it, they wont even reply. I won't forget it. Sorry. You will see this post updated for the next years until I die. I've been waiting since July 2016.

Looks like you have the same problem. As you can see with my forum post, I receive zero help even if the account owner proved that he bought my account from a hacker.
Anyway, I will push this up until I get my acc back.

this problem is not yet solved? I am now expecting worsed for my cased tho I have some good proof and obvious. Hopefully admins are prioritizing hacked accounts

The hacker changed the password and e-mail address and I didn't even received a notification...  Happened in my case too. As it seems, you don't get confirmation mail in this forum when you want to change pw and e-mail, which makes it so much easier for hackers. So, all they have to do is looking into the leaked user database, for people that didn't change their PW's. Still didn't get help. They just banned my old acc (I demanded this).... at least something. But they could just give me the account back since there proof enough in my thread that it was stolen from me.

I am the latest victim of account hack.
My original "Dorky" account got hacked (or sold?) to someone from Turkey.
First, it doesn't make sense why someone needs to buy an account (with money) when he can register one for free. Second, it doesn't make sense that this "new owner" doesn't know that the hacked account is supposed to be still active, and thus cannot make excuses that the bought-for account is inactive.
I have to give the "new owner" a negative trust to warn others.
Is Theymos part of the rothschild syndicate for being part of this entire elaborate scam?
Edit: In case you wonder, I stumbled on this thread when I typed "bitcointalk account hacked" in Google search bar.

Over two years later, the problem is still not solved. But I do still live!  The recovery of stolen accounts is actually a much quicker process now thanks to a new team that was introduced to handle such issues. All you need to do follow instructions in the link shared by @mole0815 I was also in the same boat as you and I didn't even have a staked BTC address, Here's what I did. You could find some information that could guide you when you write to the recoveries team. Just make sure you share with them any evidence that can help point to you being the original owner of the account Good luck

Good news OP, It looks like your account is on its way to being recovered according to seclog. And that already 3 days after the correct instructions were used. So that shows again that it is not hopeless and makes sense to adhere to specifications
