In a bold move today Bithumb has decided to add Monero (XMR) to it's list of crypto currencies for trading. Bithumb is the largest and most advanced crypto trading platform in Korea and one of the largest in the world if not the largest. At last count the exchange had a daily trade volume of 850 million dollars.
The last BCH rise was mainly because of the Koreans and what they want to do. In Asian countries there is real life use cases for cryptocurrency more often than in Western parts of the world. They use it for every day shopping and it's very popular there.
If you just saw that rise in Monero price it's because of the good press that this has caused, imagine when it actually gets listed. This will take Monero to a whole new level.

with this speculations the price jumped high again and I think if this will be confirmed it will be much bigger than this lets wait for an official announcement from the dev team and while waiting lets enjoy the ride. |

I was also looking for answers about the recent Monero pump. It has been a good 60% jump out of nowhere, I was not able to find the news, but this looks like it's what accused the price surge. The question now is: It is too late to jump on the train now? As we all know "buy the rumor, sell the news". Now it's yet to be seen if Bithumb's volume itself can continue the pump or it will be limited to the news. Bithumb is known for driving coins up with the impressive volume... the BCash pump started there as a matter of fact. |

I understand the rumor and good news is the reason make the price of Monero in today increasing up, but why just is listed to exchange can make the price of this coin pumped high than 100%? (Bittrex exchange pumped from 0.0129 BTC to high than 0.03 BTC in few hours). Maybe, Monero has controlled by whales and make FOMO on market.

Maybe after this more people will start to accept it as viable form of payment. As for now, people (that are not investing) don't really have a justifiable reason to by Monero

Maybe but we can't know this. The price on coinmarketcap is now $81.90 (48.16%) and 0.02044310 BTC (51.18%) iwth respect to yesterday's closing price. On bittrex, trades are very fast I can't catch the orders. Almost fifty percent profit in a day is such a good return for monero investors like me. |

So I know where this rise came. It reminds me of the AlphaBay hype about Monero. I hope they will not delist it in a few days because Monero would crash the same way like it did after AlphaBay removed it...

Prices usually raise at rumor and fall at news. It started weeks ago when someone saw monero emblems there. They 2 days ago someone saw announcement, but was later removed. now there is an announcement. http://bithumb.cafe/archives/10619 |

I know chinese people are the biggest players and early adopters in bitcoin industry so they have a lot of money and are in need of privacy. I think monero will eventually the biggest one after bitcoin.

will be very much excited seeing how xmr to pumped more and gather again more attentions from investors and traders as we seen more speculation like this will follow and if really the Koreans and how about Japanese are they gonna go all in as well? let see how successful xmr will be on its new exchange. |
