For it is monero. I have been very impressed with the dev team for their work. This altcoin offers true privacy and anonymity. I am also exciting for upcoming projects such as Kovri, the I2P routing software.

I can list 3 cryptocurrencies that i hold this year.

Waves - team quality and quantity of investors.
IOTA - project quality, a good alternative. a revolutionary new transactional settlement.
ETC - cheap and popular.

I agree with you about Waves, but ETC? that is crazy man, this coin does not exists.
Can you explain to us why do you recommend buying this coin? This is the result of the fork of Ethereum, its an useless coin, it has been freezed between $13,5 and $15 for three months, i dont see it popular since it does not even have more volume than monero.

ETC, ETH and XMR are always my favorite altcoins to trade and I simply trust those coins as these are the coins that will never disappoint me in long term but at a moment I am trading DGB and I have been making some good short term profits from since last 6 months and I am still looking forward to trade DGB in coming days too.

I also advise VERGE (VGX) which will take off soon (discreet team but competent) opening their clothes shop soon and the rest to come

I advise you to follow Barry Silbert. He is trying hard for ETC project. And yes it is popular. So many investors follow ths coin. And going to be more expensive in the future.
Ethereum Classic beginning to release of new mantis client to make a difference from ethereum. If you check a bit you will understand that Ethereum Classic will no more be in the shadow of ethereum.

My favorite coins this year would be Waves, Adex, Pillar and Ethereum. Actually most of the altcoins came from ICO's. And I look at their whitepaper and roadmap to see if they have really great potential in the years to come.

For now I love Monaco coin, Waves, Ethereum because the three coins have a very high price. But do not forget the BCC because BCC is very feasible to hold.

ZCash - although the ongoing founder reward really puts me off buying it, as well as the fact that there are still a LOT of coins to be mined
Tezos - really interesting ideas and a strong team - will be interesting to see where this goes
PIVX - cool governance stuff inbuilt as well
IOTA - i don't understand DAG, but i'm getting more into it!
