My wallet suddenly refuses to start, it took ages before but now it does not respond, it may be too old to start...

Do you have running DeepOnion wallet? SWEEP and onion can't work together at the same time

BTC   Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System   BTC
A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

When I try to run both wallets, it says something about SWEEP already running. But it's not the case, the SWEEP wallet gets stuck and the process is terminated.

Any chances this coin to get in a decent exchange, any time soon?

Ive sent 3 tickets to novaexchange about this. Wallet has been down for 3 days now. They said, and I quote "You have to be patient for the wallet to connect on the p2p network. There is no estimated time for that."

someone needs to kick their asses in gear. I have a few hundred thousand sweep sitting there not getting POS.

Takes about 3:30 minutes just to "load the blockchain".  I haven't seen such a turd wallet since Maxcoin.  And it's always forever stuck at 95.65% sync it seems.  Using TOR was beyond stupid.

Can someone post the blockchain past block 562706?

what wallet are you using? Ive never had issues syncing or POSing my coins on my desktop. Apparently now though NOVAEXCHANGE is having issues with their wallet though mine is working and fully synced. Maybe your having the same issues as they are...

We have just sent a message to NovaExchange support.

We will await their response and see what the issue actually is.

I have explained also, the wallet code in the official CWI-Git is code of the NEW wallet, and as it does not have the required backend to support it, we have not published it as yet. We are still building the seednodes backend, and as such, will have the blockchain available for the new code soon. Until then, the TOR nodes are the ones that need to be worked from.

Even though this new code is available on git, we have not and do NOT suggest this new code to be used until the new CWI-SeedNode system is in place and functional sometime this week.

We await a response from NovaExchange.

Currently, we are not worried about any of these points.

Except the redevelopment.

I wish Crypto 'people' would actually understand what the word 'investment' actually is also.

Ok for the investment part, but it's 2 months after the takeover and still there are the usual synching problems as before.
I don't know, fix the blockchain at least, maybe with a new wallet release...

We have worked on the wallet.

But TOR removal is just the beginning - as there are no seednodes to cater for the standard IPv4 sync - yet Smiley As well as the cleanup of the code and getting at least the code stable with the core systems in place. The SweepStake is not working and as such we will not work on it until we have stabilized the core. To do that, we need to work on a number of other things, which may include a full rebase.

And you are worried about 2months? This coin was the LAST coin we acquired - what makes you think it is first in line for updates?

We have our priorities set on the backend systems so that CWI-InfraStructure, CWI-Pool, and the updated coding of the CWI-Stratum (Obsidian) is 100% before anything else goes into place.

This means that many thousands of dollars every month, and the effort and time we put in, will not be in vain. It will be invested into the infrastructure that will maintain the stability of the future updates of SweepStakeCoin as well as the other coins and projects we have.

There are no 'syncing problems' per se. This is a sync issue that happens at block 37257 due to the fork that happened long before we made the decision to acquire the coin. THOUSANDS of orphan blocks need to be downloaded for the chain to regain sync, so many many nodes added to the conf are needed AND patience. Otherwise a new coin, a new blockchain and a swap is in order. If this explanation is not a viable one for you, that I have now explained SO MANY time prior, then there are only two options left.

1 - sell off all your holdings and 'invest' somewhere else.
2 - have patience as we work on our BUSINESS and backend systems - as well as our projects.

We will NOT be bullied into a forced timeframe and false sense of accomplishment because we 'released an update'. We let other so called 'devs' do that.

Want to stay with CWI as a business? Patience is the key.

Want to help us? PM me.

We will go at our own pace, without being forced into anything we are not willing to do.

I have also just read back to a post I have a few things to say about. Just finding the time to respond. I'm disgusted in the pretense that people have in crypto where everyone feels that WE owe anyone anything. We are happy you are interested in this project, but don't be fooled into thinking that ANYONE can push and force a legitimate business startup into something.

If anyone REALLY wants to be an 'investor' in the true sense of the word, join us and put your money and skill where your mouth is and buy into the business. That's an investment. Till then, you are buying nothing more than a chance at some zeros and ones to make YOU some money. As such, YOU should be patient in the process that WE (the ACTUAL investors) have in store for the business.

I won't apologize if I sound rude, as it's out of my own pocket that all this happens, out of the skills that the engineers have that all this happens, out of the time and effort we ALL put into the projects we have that all this happens.

So, in summary. We will go about doing what we do, at the pace we do, and do it RIGHT. If you wish to come along for the ride, and build something more than a business here, you are most welcome. But until the day comes that anyone feeds us and pay our bills and expenses, then no one has the right to TELL us what to do, or how to do it.

That's it.
