I think the blockchain tech is extremely good for voting, I hope it's the future of voting. Transparent and fair!

Today I saw a video how hard it is to make voting system online instead of paper votes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3_0x6oaDmI) (I mean votes for president, goverment elections). Like it can be easily manipulated and anonymity is a big problem. But as I'm deeping into cryptocurrencies I think that Zcash and it's forks like Hush - I think the technology it provides is the solution. Blockchain, decentralized, fully anonymous (z transactions). What do you guys think?

Blockchain solve the problem of fake votes, but needs some regulation in order to avoid double votes from the same users, actually it can be possible if a group do a good research and find solution for this problem

I think e-voting is not a reliable idea. Yes it is convenient because it will reduce the human works. It will make the voting more easily. But the threat of it is the hack or breaching the system. As we all know it is involve with the electronics and computer that is why there is always a possibility of vote hacking.

Blockchain,  regulated? Regulated by who? Double voting can be avoided EASILY with Biometrics.. no need to regulate a perfect tech by imperfect people

I don't think any electronic systems will work better when it comes to voting. Many countries shifted back to paper votes from EVM. There is always a threat of hacking whenever it comes to online system because ultimately the thing is created by a man only. I agree blockchain is quite safe in that context. But I don't think that it would work. Also, in voting complete anonymity is not really necessary.

I think that an electronic voting system will not prevent fraud. The corrupt government will do everything to win the election, regardless of the form in which it will take place.

True what you said, but you need a regulated organisation for the Biometrics, which organization will collect them?

Elections with the use of current high technologies such internet will somehow impose a threat to the credibility of results. Especially that results can be easily alterated. If elections would use this kind of process someone or somebody, a company perhaps should figure out a program how to handle high security of keeping the vote secured from alteration.

E voting, the way it is now, with Diebolt running things can be easily manipulated. Remember we're talking about a lot of power involved, power hungry people will try to take advantage of everything.

Now blockchain will make it very transparent. A person with a WiFi laptop in the other room cannot simply come and change how many votes this and that person had.

So far only Estonia have allowed e-voting. From first look, e-voting looks nice - people don't need to waste their time to go to dedicated place for voting. And it can increase people activity in elections.
But there are many reasons why e-voting is still not usual thing. It's more complicated to monitor results in e-voting - they hardly can prevent such thing as buying of votes.
Another thing - security. We all know that there was attempts to hack US President elections voting system. Hackers can affect results in e-voting.
So far I don't think that many countries are ready for e-voting.
