For me any coin among first 200 in coinmarketcap will be great in the future especially the ones with low circulating supply and with smaller market cap
But for me the best ones are VEN,ICX,DENT,INS,ETHOS,QSP,INT and the ICOs  Faceter and Aitheon

What you said is make sense because low supply can lead the project become worth more in the future but also dont very low marketcap because it can be dangerous for our investment.
However, this bet can be very profitable too when the coin goes to the moon.

GIZA ! As for me, the most promising and underestimated project in 2018 will be Giza Dyvicy. Most importantly, I do not see they have any serious competitors

In my opinion for now the best coin having a good future is the Ethereum and the transactions after bitcoin is the Ethereum which the active instate now. All depends on what you mean saying good future. If you mean technology - the coin may be very very useful but it can be cheap, if you mean price - even rubbish can cost high and be useless.

In my opinion, you need to follow some criterias before choosing coins to invest in. You need to check the following

The use case the coin is trying to solve

The team behind the coin

You need to read their white paper and understand their roadmap

You also need to check their daily trade volume as well too..

Don't just follow any recommendations from anyone blindly, do your own research and trust your instincts after a qualitative research .

Deciding on a good coin to be invested as a future asset in my opinion is rather difficult, because coins are now hard to guess for clarity in the future though sometimes it is convincing. But I have a suggestion to see a good coin as a future digital asset, you can see the popularity of coins, developers who make coins and we can see price charts in the market. Minex and BTW I think have a good future, you can check on their respective websites.
