Hey guys, so apparently I'm new here. I love the idea of the decentralized Bitcoin crypto-currency protocol and I just ordered my first BFL ASIC miner a few days ago, anyway what's up with u guys?

i've been here for well over a week but i haven't posted a single post because i don't have anything to say for the most part and i don't frequent the newbies portion of the site... it makes me rather uneasy to have to spam some 4 messages to make legit posts elsewhere

Google Butterfly Labs. There is a very good chance it is a scam or ponzy scheme. Apparently the CEO is recently out of jail too!

Do your research and be extremely wary. Remember that with crytocurrencies there is no recourse, no chargeback method. When the money is out of your hands it is completely out of your control.

Kate.

Edit: See this post for a summary of why BFL is a scam. Get a refund ASAP!

It is sad that we have to jump through this hoop to get to the forum. You should post shamelessly like me. This is number 5. Now I have 2 hours and 31 minutes to get out of this status. I asked a serious question in this newbie section. I don't think this section lends itself to serious help at the rate people are joining though. My post quickly got pushed of the screen.

My two quite carefully considered posts on what should be genuinely interesting topics (LTC mining with spare VM host compute and useful work cryptocurrencies have also been nearly pushed off the screen already. Sad I'm hoping I can move them somewhere else after I'm de-n00b'd.

Kate.

PS. Not a shameless post, honest. :p

...by the way, anyone know if you can just leave a browser window open on a forum page with autoreloads turned on to boost your time spent? Yes, probably abusing the system, but I've waited a few days on the whitelist request and done a few posts now so am a bit bored. :p

Since you ordered a BFL. Maybe you should send some bitcoins to me, just because you can.
