Old generation seem very lack of experience in Bitcoin ! Why they keep telling us to stop when they even don't know how to check a simple email on ebay ! How to explain them guys ?

Maybe one thing you can do is share some of your earnings to your mom to prove that you really can generate income from this.
Or let her read related news regarding cryptocurrency and who are currently using and supporting this.
Maybe if she knows that even banks and known companies are now jumping into this, she will start to calm down and maybe have peace of mind when you're online & doing crypto transactions.

Your parents are trying to protect you. That said, the older generation are not as well versed in modern ways as we are. To a flaw, your parents will always think they know better, and while most of the time this is true, they do not see the times when they do not.

Imagine a 10 year old coming to you, and explaining that you should put all your money into sand because that's the new big thing. It's understandable to be weary of something you don't know, and try protect your loved ones

Try explain it in a way they can understand and show proof, logic and risk vs reward in numbers.

You can tell to your parents especially your mom that bitcoins is new revolution in currency be combined with new technology
bitcoins is not something illegal activity, with bitcoins we can get much beneficial on it ( we can stores values of money in bitcoins, we can to be freelancer on bitcoins and many other beneficial on bitcoins) you must explain about bitcoins to your parents slowly but continuous every days, i am sure they will support you to bitcoins.

Don't waste your time in convincing then as they may not really understand what you are doing. Anyway, you can do things even without the permission of your mother as she must not be following you all the time. She must just be concern and just giving you a warning based on what she heard as hearsay about Bitcoin. Just give her the understanding she needs and if later on you can make the money then maybe share it with the whole family. In every generation, there will always be that gap which just a natural phenomenon and nothing to be worried about.

Parents generally are skeptical on the things of the internet they prefer you going to the store to earn peanuts than for you stay behind the computer or smart phones to earn something big and its not their fault its because how people with low moral standard have bastardized the cyber space and that's why parents are like that. In my own case, I am not longer staying with them but I am sure if I am they would express the same fear.

   Parents knows whats better I guess. Living in old generation knows how important discipline is. We all know that nowadays kids and young adults can do anything that runs into there minds. Parents are just concerned. They care for you and just worried that you might get hurt basically because they fear the unknown. Earning in a young age of course might cause puzzles in their minds. You better make them feel that it is a good thing and not by being stubborn to make them see that it is bad for you. Good luck mate.

Ignorance is the correct answer.

If your parents were computer engineers they would support you very much, even they would give you assistance, why? Because you will be speaking the same language as they will make it much easier for you to explain anything to them.

Now if your parents are not very educated, they are not people who like to read about all possible subjects, then you will have many problems.

My advice would be:

If you are under 18 years of age, then you must obey your parents and expect to be over 18 years of age and have your own home to enter the world of BTC.

This is sometimes what's wrong with parents today, if they do nit know something they would just tell you to stop, since they think they know all, but in reality when it comes to technology they have a blank mind. We as their children should teach them what we are doing or if they don't want to understand it, simply tell them not to get involved and in time to thank you, that as a young age you are already into earning money. Tell them that they have raised you well and they need not to worry, you will ask them for help, if you need it anyway. in some cases, you can also tell them to join you or just try earning online, you might be shocked they will also get hooked into it.

This is what I was writing in other thread : it is very hard to easily explain BTC to non engineer / geeks people. Explaining bitcoin requires you to explain many different topics : computer technology, open-source, finance, etc...

If i was you, I'll continue to try to educate my parents about BTC? Share them videos, blog posts, mainstream media news, etc...

And if you someone here has a good ressource that makes bitcoin understandable by anyone, Please share !

Parents are afraid of what their child is doing in the internet, they are by nature over protective. But luckily my parents support me with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, they even support me with trading and ask if I need extra money for capital.

its just a thought but maybe you are doing something wrong
bitcoin is great and all but the anonymity it provides can be abused too. specially by someone underage. so you may need to think again about what you are doing with bitcoin and see if they are really not understanding bitcoin or they know "you" too well!

It's amazing that your mom has at least knowledge that there exists something called bitcoin and it's use might get you behind bars while there are people especially old ones who don't even know what bitcoin is but there it's your mom who knows it still you think it's lack of knowledge or experience? No, actually it's not lack of experience nor that of knowledge but actually your mom is ill informed and has misconceptions about bitcoin, just try to explain her in simple, understandable language that bitcoin is not illegal and no one can be put in jail only for using it, actually it depends on how you use it just like fiat those who use it for illegal activities get caught and get imprisoned but those who use it to make their lives better stays happy always so bitcoin is safe to use as long as you don't use it for crimes or any other illegal activity.

All the attention my parents have is from the media, which just shows the negative side of things. And since that is their only interaction with bitcoin, it is bad.

You just should explain it in a way they would understand or show some video online that lays it out well.

Doing bitcoin is not a bad thing, as long as you earn your profit from legal work such as signature campaign, trading, services etc. There are many reasons why your mother wants to stop you from doing bitcoins.

1. She's trying to protect you from some scams or whatsoever.
2. She doesn't have enough knowledge about digital currey.
3. She learned bitcoin in a wrong way, maybe she knows that bitcoin is used to buy illegal things.

But for me as long as you work for it or it doesn't affect other people it's not bad. Also bitcoin is giving other persons or unemployed a opportunity to earn themselves.

Most of the parents heard the news about ransomware and how Bitcoin being used to support terrorists, they only heard the negative news because the media only publish and focus on how bad the bad people using the bitcoin, so it's not their fault, they just want to protect you because they don't understand about Bitcoin, after they know the real usage they will support you to used bitcoin

I dont think doing or trade bitcoins can bring jail or doing bad things to social.
Maybe old generations think that because bitcoins its virtual money, its not like gold, and they dont trust on it

Secondly, You can prove her by showing her your working , your earning by bitcoin ! Use your money in your daily life and don't ask your mom her money anymore ! She will understand you ! Imagine a young little boy come up and ask to be a president , people will laugh at him , right ? They still think you are not responsible enough to handle these bitcoin ! Change your life-style , prove to them that they are wrong !
