In my country (Russia) the easiest way to have a gun is to be a hunter. My farther has got a shotgun I don't have a gun and I doubt I need it...

Speaking from a country that arms are not allowed in it, Tunisia.
We have got some assasination with guns here, after the revolution. That is why I think that the most dangerous thing is weapons.
It can give you extra power to destroy whatever you want.

My family have a gun. Gun should be use in protecting other people and not by hurting them. My family have it because in our place, there is some drug users so in case of emergency we have a gun that can use as a self protection. Everyone can have it but they should be responsible in using it because in a wrong move there is some people that can be harmed.

I don't have a gun, and I despise to the people for having one or even the person whom ever invented it. It just made the world so wrong and cruel.

It's legal in our country, but as long as you have a permit to carry firearms. I think the government should be strict when it comes to this. There should be a series of tests like psychiatric test and so on. Fire arms should be used for self defense and not for criminal or in an offensive way.

I have no weapon because, fortunately, in my country the possession of weapons is a felony. They can only carry weapons, police, security agents and hunters (these need a license).

I personally own many guns and store them in my gun vault.  AR15s, shotguns, rifles, pistols, revolvers.  My concealed carry choice is a 9 mm Glock.  I never leave the house without it, as well as a spare magazine.  I pray to my creator that I never have to use it to take a life.  On the other hand I would without hesitation to preserve my life or that of my family or friends.  A "bad guy" has no right to take a life, so if he makes the decision to try, in my mind he now becomes my target.  I have the license and credentials for this and train monthly.

Yes, i have multiple guns. Ive only had to shoot them for training/practice, but I bought them for self defense. I hope I never have to use them to defend myself, but Im glad I have that option. Its like buying insurance on your house. You hope you dont ever have to use it but you are glad you have it for that rare incident.

How is a little old lady going to defend herself against 2 or 3 intruders in the middle of the night?

Some politicians say that we have police for such purpose.
And this logic is perfect: you can't use the firearms because you have police thet will try to find criminals that robbed you (or killed someone). Sounds (and works) bad.

Unfortunately by the time the police arrive you will most likely be dead.

No. In my country, people want to own guns so they can scare people. They use it to act like they run around things in their place. Guns are only used for violence and not for the protection of their own so police and authorities should only be the ones to own it.

yes i have. a wind gun, i use for hunting birds and squirrels or some animal.  my village surrounded by jungle and river, fun for hunting. but with a rule.

In my country, you can not have weapons, so I do not have a gun. But crimes are committed with illegal weapons and one has only to wait when we will be allowed to defend ourselves with weapons.

I don't have a gun though carrying a gun is legal here but when it goes to the times of election, there's a gun ban.
