Do you have a gun?

No I do not have a gun. Many of us are always brings gun even if they will just go to public places. Their reason is self defense purposes, if some one will attack them, that is the only time they will use it.

I think, if only to defend ourselves, we can still use other ways if being in the public places,
I am afraid if having a gun will make us mistaken.

Even the civilian police here don't carry a gun. Though you can keep one with a registration, gun is not a part of the society here.

To be honest, no I don't have a gun right now but I strongly believe that everyone should have the right to keep a gun for self protection. A gun is not a good device if you have bad intentions and you want to use it for crime related purposes but it is an amazing thing to have if you want to protect yourself and your family for robbers and bad people. Because it is a fact that there are more bad people in this world than good people. To be secure from those animals a woman should also know how to use guns and keep a gun with herself whenever she travels. However, a gun can not promise best protection but still it is better than nothing.

I do have a gun because of my family background (my father loves to hunt).

But i do get why people do not like them, the way i see it if i am allowed to have one, why not?

No I dont. I just got in the legal age and to be honest I am planning to have one for security. There are a lot of people who you cant trust and if I will have  a gun. The main purpose is for self defense.

I don't, but I'll get one if I had the opportunity. I will not carry it outside my home though. Also, no private citizen should he able to purchase assault weapons. That's how mass shootings happen.

I do, but i don't use it carelessly. I bought a gun for emergency purposes. In case there's a burglar inside the house, to be able to scare them away. And to use the gun for self defense and not to harm or scare other people. Use your gun carefully because a even a small carelessness may deal a huge thing or even worse, it may kill someone.

I don't have gun because the price of the gun is very expensive and gun in my country is illegal, so if we have gun without permission then we will be imprisoned.

yes we have one gun in our home but they will place in very care place because we keep gun for an emergency situation like when your home are under threat of thieves or any other emergency. gun is not good for other purpose with out safety .mostly in country to keep gun in home are not allowed by immature person.

I have not tried it and feel it is too dangerous to have around. I mean what is the point beyond speculating that somebody might break into your house? That surely is not a good enough reason to have a gun...

Yes there is. But I do not use it, and I hope that I will never have to! What gives me weapons? A sense of security. I feel more calm and confident in my safety and in the safety of my relatives. BUT I hope that I will never use it!

Everyone else can discuss if people should have a right to have a gun or not.

I think that I wont ever like to own a gun. Yes it koght be for protection and some other things. There would still be an inkling in my head that it is better that we dont own a gun because it gives us something to build our confidence on and it doesnt help make rational thoughts.

In our country it is legal to have a gun, however, you need a permit to carry fire arms. Here in our country, even if you have a permit, you can't just show off your gun in public. It is meant for self defense, so it should be kept at home or it should be hidden and you should always bring your permit.

Yes, i do have my own personal gun. I always carry it if i'm going at places that is not really safe and secure (e.g. hiking, camping). Another reason for having my gun is for my self-defense, specially for defending myself if i'm threatened. In our country you have to be registered and legal to be able to use your own personal gun.

I own a few. I use it for home protection and they're also a hobby. I've been learning some gunsmithing and have built/pieced together a few guns. Shooting them is fun too 

I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea and I know there are some holes to the whole Libertarian argument (let me do my thing and you do yours) since these tools can be used for some pretty nasty acts, but the same could be said for vehicles.

I have no gun because the gun is banned in our country by government people to use and mostly for the immature people so that’s why I have no my personal gun .

I do not have weapons. In my country, to possess a weapon, you have to register and it concerns hunting exclusively.

Yet my country, Belgium, is a weapons producer with links to its main investor, a public entity.

I will never consider possessing a weapon because I do not try to overcome violence by violence, and the education I teach will involve tolerance and empathy.

And if I have to bite my fingers, what can I do that accept? We can all die, no matter the method. But to allow its free circulation and its mass destruction ... I will never understand it.

I don't own a gun, and would never own one, as I feel an accident could happen at home and it is not worth the risk. Additionally, using a gun for self-defense in my country (for example in case of a robbery) would only count as self-defense if the robber was also using a gun. If the robber attacks me with a knife or his/her bare hands and I shoot him/her, then it would not count as self defense and I would probably be charged (wouldn't matter if I was smaller than the assailant and would have no chance to overpower him/her, or if it was 2 or more agains just me). 

I understand people have rights, and that based on this you can own a gun, but there should be restrictions on the quantity and the type of gun people can own. Why do you need 10?
