Gun was used for self defense. In case of emergency you need to use it for your protection. However, you need to have all the papers needed for carrying firearms so that it will be legal to carry it. Also, you need to have temper in case you have argue with other people.

I don't think so, people shouldn't have the right to own a gun. Rather people should have the privilege to own one. I mean, people should go through rigorous screenings, testing and such so that the governing agency would know that the people requesting to own a gun are responsible and not at all sociaopath so that could go on a killing spree once they snap. Owning a gun is one thing, much like collectors and such, but owning ammunitions are another. We should also tighten the security around those too

I do own 3 handguns, but have no attachment to them at all.  I keep them strictly for protection, but don't think I could ever use them against someone even if I had too.

I think having or owning a gun is only legal if you have a license to own one. For me, i see no wrong in having a gun because it is every ones right to protect him/herself from harm and danger caused by other individuals.

I came from a country where possession of gun is not allowed for ordinary citizen like us. However, I believe even if it is allowed it should be discouraged because each time a gun goes into action lives are destroyed in the process. How I wish we all learn to love one another. In practical terms that is almost impossible so possession of a gun legally in places where it is allowed and in certain situations is very important.

I don't have a gun but if it will be legalized, i want to have one especially at home. Robbers and murderers nowadays are very aggressive, bringing a gum with you is very helpful and will make you safe (in some ways).

In our country, only the authorities and the rich can afford and have a gun but in my opinion, having a gun should be limited to the authorities only. Others say that it's for their own protection only but there are a lot of times that their gun power has been abused.
